Anyone have a ball park figure of what Armin earned for this event? I'm guessing well over a 200k since that 100k was a quote that a friend received for a private party.

well, the more known a promoter is to the agency, the better deals they will get. I don't think it could have topped 100k though.

I'm shocked. I really would have thought it would be raking in some mad money. Not that 100k is bad for 9 hours but still.
drEamer
from what i heard, it was 100K

Venue/Crowd size can largely influence a NYE gig cost.

I heard (HEARD) that there were over 50,000+ _pre-sales_ for TAO.

I know a DJ who played at another NYE event in the USA...a major event....not TAO, a like five years ago?...$150,000. Only know this because the promoter was late ont he final payment and called a friend of mine at another promoter who was throwing a major NYE event in the same area in case to see about moving the DJ to that event (for less cost)

The promoter paying the $150k finally came through in the last day or two they had before the DJ was gonna pull out...

This all said, if he was paid $100,000....GoVentures got a steal of a deal, lol, and raking in the dough!

Wow, I would have thought it would be a lot more! A friend of mine who works for the VIP at Vision in Chicago said when Tiesto played there two years ago they almost had to pay $200,000 to even get him to consider.

well...you make it seems as though you knew everyone by saying that it sucked. so...let's see...from what "your" friends or people you knew said...you're gonna conclude that it sucked, when there's how many other posts that says it was one of the best nights they had?

BUT...i'm just gonna leave it at this because i've been on this forum long enough to know that "you" are an ignorant person. how? ok, you concluded that it sucked. so why bother coming in here saying that you glad you didn't go? like who cares the fact you didn't go? and you can say what you want about me, it's the internet, like i give a DAMN.

Epic fail part 2... Get a life retard I just said from everybody I talked to they said it sucked so I am glad I didn't go now go get your translator to explain that to you and what it means....

Like the person said...if you didn't like it, then why keep bringing it up? Shouldn't you be the one to get a life that doesn't revolve around bashing an event over and over again?
