Best show/Party Ever I don't care about what everybody else thinks!
Any chance the set was recording either video or sound? I saw alot of video on youtube and I still can't believe how awesome it was and the countdown with Obama on Ifinity Klass remix WOW!

P.S. Last night I saw Tiesto in Montreal it was great but hands down Armin Only was better!

Ya. I was gonna say... That does not look like Justine at all.

- I like when Armin brough the flag out at the end... I was sitting behind him and you could tell it took the crowd a little while to figure out what was going on.... When the flag came out everyones face was like WTF is going on,,, then they figured out the whole Obama save the world thing.

Overall, I would like that evening to repeat itself every night and will quote the Candy Kids when I say "Why can't this go on forever!!!"

Massives are fun!!!

Awesome!!! Good to hear Armin did a good job. I couldn't beleive it when I decided to not go see him that night. But considering how dissapointed I have been with every event at the Sports Arena for the past 2 years I figured I should just sit this one out.

It's cool to see that people can still enjoy these Massive events. Who know's... Maybe eventually I'll start to get back in to them too. I just can't hang right now. I like to dance and breath and when you only have a tiny suare area to stand in smashed up by other people it becomes difficult.

The floor was a complete disaster. Too many people, too much shoving around, and just not a good place to try to dance (as is the case at every massive at the sports arena). We went upstairs, found some seats and stayed put for the night.

CD's skipped and sound went out a few times, but eh..

I was with friends at the back of the arena most of the night. There was a lot more room to dance and breathe, but I was not able to see much of the stage. Some of the images I have seen in this thread are totally new to me. I wish I could have seen this event again, this time in the stands off to the side of the stage.

Although there were some issues with the sound, I thought this was the best event I've ever been to, hands down.

Was Armin actually behind the curtain from 7-9:45? Or did they just project his image onto the curtain?

Thank you for those videos. A lot went bad this year and was made up in 9 hours of dance and music. Such a cathartic experience for me

In past events at the sports arena, the 2nd level seats right on the railing proved to be the best spot for us. It has an awesome view of the crowd on the floor, a clear view of the stage, a little more room to dance, and no one really pushing you. Less claustrophobic than the main floor I'm sure.

They basically showed his silhouette every few minutes or so until the "real" opening, unlike Giant Village where he was clearly seen from the moment the gates opened.

though it sounded like you were completely solo.

Bummed I missed you man. Let me know when you are going out clubbing and I'll try to get into Montreal to meet ya. Hopefully we get some good international acts in the city before Bal En Blanc. Leaving SF in a few days :sadgreen: :sadgreen:

I live in Denmark. I was supposed to come with the guy I was dating, but he decided at the last minute not to go. Which is fine with me, because he turned out to be a jerk. I texted him when I got to L.A. and he never responded, nor did he respond when I texted 'happy new year'.

So when I got home I told him he could shove it.

Besides, American guys are nicer (and cuter). :D

DjWoody
Denmark! WOW! NICE!

Did you do anything else in LA besides Armin Only?

Not really... I got in at 8am, my hotel was ready about five hours early so I dropped my stuff off and got on the train. I stopped at every station heading north and walked around, though I didn't see very much.

I'm surprised some parts of Hollywood are (I'm sorry if this offends) but rather ghetto, especially around the train stations! I walked up and down Sunset for a little bit, but I couldn't find any famous landmarks (besides Capital). I did walk by Avalon, and I tried to look inside the open door, but some bouncer yelled at me and I ran off.

I went up to North Hollywood but couldn't see anything, just a lot of houses but it was really pretty up there. Then I went down to Long Beach and walked around for a bit.

Besides that, I did nothing!
