Ahhh yes, the typical uneducated and uninformed comment which follows nearly every conservative statement.

Fact is, the poor do better in Canada, and furthermore, in Ontario, while middle-class and upper class do far better in the United States. There is FAR less incentive in Canada to become anything other than the lower class, when most gains are just eaten away. We don't even have the benefit of saying "At least our health care is fantastic!" because it isn't. The equivalent health-care in the United States costs less on a family basis, and if you want to pay - why, by gosh, you can pay for even BETTER care. In fact, you can pay for STATE OF THE ART care. Where's that option here? Oh yeah, I forgot - that's not allowed in Canada. We're the worst of socialism and the worst of conservatism all wrapped into one big ball of .

This latest tax grab is no surprise. I don't know why ANYONE voted for this idiot in the first place, let alone securing him a second term to do even more damage to our failing economy. Our primary industries are failing and disappearing, and when they're gone, they aren't coming back. That's it - that's the end of it.

It's truly a brutal feeling knowing that you hate many aspects of a place, but your alternatives really aren't much better. I'm considering moving to Alberta, however - at least people there stand up when something that's theirs is blatantly grabbed at.

We are already paying it? Last i checked i didnt pay 8% PST on gasoline, heating my house and legal fees. Also food under $4 and many new homes.

Like i said, add up your new taxes and send me a cheque for it. Id love to have it if you dont need it

I am sad to say that monthly bleeding is not. Can you think of a men's product that is analagous to a tampon, in terms of both necessity and gender-specific? I can't.

Funny i need to eat and have shelter to survive but i pay tax on that. How can anyone say with a straight face that tampon exemptions are out of necessity when we pay tax on life's basic needs?

Also, What did women do before tampons were invented? The answer is that like razors for men, tampons are a modern CONVENIENCE that aids in hygiene and/or appearance. Last i checked, women wont die if they are denied a feminine hygiene product. The difference between that and razors, or food, or shelter, or adult clothing is political correctness and nothing more.

Oh come on, less tax on tampons gives women less to bitch about when they're ragging doesn't it!? WIN WIN!
