So last time out to Montreal, I took Salty with me on vacation. He's got a facebook page too where his guardians submit pictures of him on holiday, just like the legend of the Guv water bottle....

Here's some from my trip that they allowed on FB...

Orange Drop is giving away free reusable bags that can transport hazardous material. Of course you can use the bag for whatever you want if you don't have hazardous materiel to transport right now. Really good site on how to dispose of hazardous materiel around the house the right way.

If you live in the GTA and need to cool off (um, 44 degrees with the humidity? I definitely need some relief!) why not head down to Queens Quay tomorrow, where the Dairy Farmers of Canada will swirl up a winning mixture of 100% Canadian milk, yogurt, blueberries and honey in an attempt to break a Guinness World Record for the World's Biggest Smoothie!

Toronto's Booster Juice set the record in 2006, only to have it snatched away by Xtreme Juice from Tampa Bay in 2009. It's time to reclaim our crown!

Guinness World Record Attempt for "World's Biggest Smoothie"
presented by: Dairy Farmers of Canada

Starts: July 8, 2010 11:00am
Ends: July 8, 2010 2:00pm
Cost: FREE

All Torontonians are invited to Bust-A–Record Dairy Day to take part in Dairy Farmers of Canada’s attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the World’s Biggest Smoothie. Free samples of the 1,000 litre record breaking All-Canadian Blueberry Smoothie will be given to everyone who attends. Come one and all and beat the heat with an ice cold record breaking smoothie– ADMISSION IS FREE!

Look for the 100% Canadian Milk tent on Queens Quay, between York and Bay Street

It's a big event!

I once ate some cheddar from the 1995 record for the world's biggest block of cheese set by Loblaws (26 tonnes, it took up a whole refrigerated tracktor-trailer with plexiglass wall for all to see while touring between stores). It's great to be part of it!

that doesn't answer the question why it's during the work day on a Thursday :)
