Craig - I think a lot of people think that way when they truly respect the one that they love. It shows that you hold yourself up to high standards for that person.

So essentially you're saying that because I recognize my own failings I'm weak?
Silky Johnson
That's not what I'm saying at all.

I'm sorry, I just don't understand where the weakness comes into play. I don't trust myself so I defer what I may want at to do at some level in favour of what my wife would want me to do because ultimately what I want most is to earn the love and trust that Mrs. Hazard extends to me... all I'm doing is prioritizing... Mrs. Hazard's love/trust > the rewards of whatever action being contemplated.

I'm not sure I'd view it as a crutch. The decision making process isn't such that I'm thinking "I totally want this bar slut to blow me but if somehow Mrs. Hazard finds out then I'm ed;" rather, it's more like "while I'm sure that receiving fellatio from this lady of questionable morals would be enjoyable I value maintaining Mrs. Hazard's trust more." See the distinction?

I already explained why I think it's weak. Like I said, just my opinion. No need to get defensive. ;)

I'm more curious then defensive. What you said was essentially that one should make such decisions based on what they believe the right thing to do is... what I'm doing is deciding that the right thing to do is uphold Mrs. Hazard's trust in me irrespective of what I may want at that moment (as her trust is more important to me then any momentary desire). I'm not certain how the two positions are so vastly different that yours would be considered valid and mine invalid.

<< curious, too
Silky Johnson
Cool.

What more is there to say about it that I haven't already said?

edit: And I never said your position was invalid. Wtf.
