Meow had awesome sound also. The bass was mind blowing too! This is the first place I've been in that had Mark Oliver spinning. Good times were had there.

Sure it is, compared to other venues in the city at the moment. It's the best. But we all have our own opinions, so we can't always agree :)

Got to say even though I can't stand the crowd, the few times a year I'm dragged out to Muzik...the sound is ing AWESOME!

On a side note, pretty excited to see what Cobra's little system can pack!

Muzik is a fantastic venue, agreed!

Guv sound system was good like back in 2003. They haven't upgraded and tuned their system in years. They really used to have a nice system with the Phazon but I think it went downhill and even more with the renovations.

Gallery is WAY too ing loud without the quality.

LOL, I went primarily from 2001-2003 so I guess my opinion is clouded by nostalgic memories of those parties.

Everyone talks about alpha dynacord now but I don't think that guarantees good sound. Boa obviously had a great alpha dynacord system. Cobra on the other hand didn't really impress me. For such a small club with a low ceiling it has huge potential. I'm sure they'll improve with time. For martinez bros. they were playing way to loud towards the end when the club wasn't as full and there were several hands over ears moments.

Sound is garbage at guv but family day was pretty decent I have to admit but that's like one event out of I dunno how many that was the exception. It's just so overly loud and the bass drowns out the mids. Sometimes I just end up chilling in the patio where I could actually HEAR what's being played or I try to stand to the sides of the booth. For a club that uses the phazon system from Twilo, I'm disappointed in it's quality.

This is London on the other hand has good sound.

Favorite night for guv sound was Saeed and Palash/Deep Dish in 2002.

If its that bad now why don't they take an interest in making it better? They've obviously made a major investment in equipment.

lol. Yup, that explains your original post. Back then Guv sound was the best in the city by far.

yeah, setting up a sound system is so difficult. i mean, no matter how expensive your system is, if you don't have a great sound engineer, it's going to suck. it needs constant tweaking. constant upgrades. also, if the room is not perfect, it's going to suck. even the floor makes a difference in what it sounds like. i would hate that job. checking every five minutes how it sounds, dealing with deaf DJs that just want to crank it. don't ing touch the gain bastards, it's not the ing volume!

Hands down the best system I've heard in T.O. or GTA.
Anyone who has ever been there cannot refute this claim.
Boa's was pretty sick too though.

didn't the docks have a dynacord?
