| But C&C rocked that venue proper! I didn't stay for Tenaglia's set... like El Freak says... Gay Tiesto... hehehehe |

I always really enjoyed Peter Rauhofer's sets...
I haven't heard him in a while, and my tastes have changed a lot, but I always considered him a very good DJ. |

if you were at that Tenaglia/Chus & Ceballos one in '05, that Tenaglia set was one of the worst dj sets I've ever experienced in Montreal :p
Rauhofer killed it last year, as he's done at a few BeBs too but that's just my opinion.
Are there any names you'd like to hear yourself? |
My musical tastes have shifted quite a bit since then into Techno/Minimal, and the stuff I really love these days wouldn't fit into B&B party.
That said, I can also put my music snobbery aside for the sake of a good time :)
Just not a Rauhofer fan - really enjoyed him the very first time I saw him at Aria for Pride in MTL ages ago - but since then he's made me leave the dance floor more than once. |

Out of the 150+ tracks you'll hear at B&B I'm sure there's going to be couple of minimal and techno ones :p

meh, if I do make it to B&B - the hope of minimal/techno isn't high on my list.
I'd hope for big room twisted prog/house/circuit with as little vocals/Madonna remixes as possible.
That's what usually kills the music for me at gay events which is why I don't go to them very often anymore - too many vocals, too many pop-remixes. Now and then things can get into a chuggy/twisted vibe with a tribal edge which I like. |

Rauhofer's last "big room" set at B&B '08 had that "chuggy/twisted vibe with tribal edge," with even a couple of minimal-funk tracks included. Almost everyone has dipped into some sort of 'minimal' in recent years.
You won't get a 'minimal' dj at Black and Blue per se but you'll get the odd track. Personally, I just want to hear electronic music that will make me dance and get lost in it, regardless of the label - especially since the good djs tend to blend genres, imo.
With that said, I haven't found a downloaded set of Rauhofer's I like as they've all been far too diva-ish :p |
