Yes, because being into Lord of The Rings requires you to be into Dungeons & Dragons.

women? they just wouldn't get it. :stongue:
j/k i am pretty pumped about it too. going to watch it tomorrow. i am going to this film expecting it to be a mix of 'alien nation' 'x-files' and 'predator' all jumbled into one. i hope this exceeds my expectations. :) |

Saw it last night at midnight. It's not peter jackson BTW, it's Peter Jackson Pres. Neil Blomkamp.
These two were going to make the halo movie, but that fell through, which was a good thing cause the halo movie they had lined up was not going to be based on the books.
Well overall district 9 was good, I'll give is a 7.3 out of 10.
Positives
* Blomkamps new CGI techniques are amazing, all those aliens are actors in green suits who they then overlay with the alien skin.
* The violence was so graphic it was like ' YEAH' every time someone died.
* The story line left you wanting more at the end, which they left completely open to deliver on.
Negatives
* The first half of the movie was pretty slow
* This was Blomkamps first directing piece, and he used the 'shaky camera' technique WAY too much.
* The commercials gave away some crucial scenes, why they do that I just don't understand. |

| Bad commentary on poverty, followed by an hour of nothing really happening, and then robots. Roll credits. |

| Great movie. It's not a commentary on poverty though, not by a long shot. |
