So you think just because it's a dog it's ok for him to beat it and kill it...
How nice. |
It doesn't make it OK, but what do you want? The statutes don't say "x years in prison and a complete inability to earn a living following prison."
Should he be told to spend time in jail, then be relegated to a job at the local convenience store? He's a professional athlete, why should an unrelated conviction mean he should be forced out of his job? If he's good at it, that's all a team should care about.
To be honest, the Eagles got off cheap if he performs well this year.
Again, it's not like I'm endorsing dog fighting, but this attempt to ruin Vick for life is getting absurd. Let the guy pay the debts that our legal system enacted for those offenses and let it go. I mean, other celebrities have done much worse, and no one cared nearly as much. |

This is the problem with letting your emotions get in the way of your business mentality. Let us all try to move on and both the public & Vick get the best they could expect from his return.
I mean, the guy's half-broke from trial expenses & spent 2 years in jail, what more do you want in retribution? |

I agree with this. I don't condone the guy's depraved behavior at all... And I sure as wouldn't want him to be my neighbor, but yeah he served his time, is broke now, and shouldn't be kicked out of his profession for life. His window to make money playing probably has about 5 years left max anyway. He s up again and he'll be stocking grocery store shelves at 3:00 am for the rest of his life. Maybe he'll get redemption, who knows.
Look at Kobe Bryant... dude remade himself and his image like nobody I've ever seen and it seems to be working out pretty well. |

i want to punch that smug little look off his fat ing face:mad: | With all due respect to your opinion. He did his time and served his punishment and now he is trying to EARN A LIVING THE ONLY WAY HE KNOWS HOW TO EARN A LIVING!!!!
