i just meant that you can tell by his facial expressions on interviews that he still doesn't think he did anything wrong. watch 60 minutes this weekend...he looks like he is trying not to laugh. that is what annoys me.
and only a ing moron would jeopardize his entire NFL career for some stupid ghetto dog fighting ring. he's a moron. |

athletes are supposed to be role models and look at the example he just set.

| Athletes are not supposed to be role models. Sure it is nice if they are, but athletes are supposed to be athletes. His job is to score touchdowns, not be a monk. There are people in the Nfl that have done worse and still play. |

well look, i'm a huge animal lover...i wont even kill a spider ffs, so obviously i am a little emotional about dog fighting. this isn't the ing 17th century any more, it's not a sport or game, dogs are meant for companionship and are considered "family members" to their owners. it's really sad how pitbulls are viewed now because of the dog fighting stigma and people like Vick are the reason for it. miami-dade county has deemed pitbulls illegal because of people like Vick. i think we're a little more evolved at this point to realize that dogs aren't "just dogs" any more. i know he did 2 years which is a lot of time to spend in prison but it's like business as usual now. right back to being a glorified millionaire. :rolleyes: at the end of the day, i would never shake that man's hand.
and rumor has it (from news stories i've seen lately) that a lot of movie stars are pretty much shaking their head at him too. Pink talked some about him being in her home town. i know it's just Pink, but still...made me glad to see others with lots of money and power aren't excusing his behavior either. |

Should he be told to spend time in jail, then be relegated to a job at the local convenience store? He's a professional athlete, why should an unrelated conviction mean he should be forced out of his job? If he's good at it, that's all a team should care about.
To be honest, the Eagles got off cheap if he performs well this year.
Again, it's not like I'm endorsing dog fighting, but this attempt to ruin Vick for life is getting absurd. Let the guy pay the debts that our legal system enacted for those offenses and let it go. I mean, other celebrities have done much worse, and no one cared nearly as much. |

if you turn your head the other way and even make attempts to explain behavior like Vick's, then you ARE condoning it.
it's people who turn their head because of things like a winning football team and money that make society disgusting. |

| Society is disgusting no matter what happens. I don't think he should be kept in prison anymore, nor intentionally and punitively kept out of work, but I do think somebody should lock him in a yard and let a few pitbulls loose on him. |
