When he was making ty pop music with glitch effects, five years ago?

If you take out the stutters from that BT track, it sounds basically like something that would have come out on Coldharbour Recordings four or five years ago. The bass sound, the high plucky lead, and even the melody. BT is hardly leading the way with this one.

Im basically sick of Anjunabeats if you know what I mean...

That BT track sounded very different from what I am used to hearing... I liked it.

that's funny. I personally think that's the worst production I ever heard from him. And I've heard all his productions dating back to 1993.

BT was always overhyped imo. There are only few tunes that were really good. Best ones were Mercury & Solace and Flaming June. This century there was no stuff I really dig. Same with PvD; he always had a high cheese factor with his trademark sound.

Trance was never that as it is now. Stopped listening to it a couple of years ago. Random melodies, 5 minutes breakdowns with deadmou5 farting sound afterwards, too much exchangeable vocals, always same build-ups. In fact I wouldnt call it trance anymore; has nothing to do with the stuff established in the early 90ties which took u really on a trip.

isn't deadmau5 progressive house?

Why do you people keep saying he is trance?

Deadmau5 is mostly prog house but some trance producers have adopted the "constant straight eighth notes" style that he made really popular a couple years ago. This is an example of the style I am talking about :

I cooked that up as a parody of both the people doing "Adagio" remakes and the people aping Deadmau5's early style. Took about thirty minutes to make I think, a lot of which was spent in turning the Barber's Adagio MIDI into eighth notes, LOL.

LOL.

Adaigo has always annoyed me, but you have taken it to a new level :whip:

Ive only ever heard two deadmau5 songs, I remember and Ghosts N Stuff neither of which had that sound in them really, but it was still hillarious!

Listen to "Faxing Berlin", that was the track that really started this trend.

I keep saying this, but one of the best and most timeless documents of trance music at its best was and still is Behind The Eye vol. 1. You don't need anything else as far as an introduction to trance is concerned.

Is this comp. hard to get your hands on? I just assume there is no such thing as a digital release for it (sorry if you've answered this a billion times as well)
