Why do you have to stare into a sunset to make trance? There are plenty of dark trance tracks out there. And anyway, dark years are just the right time to make carefree and optimistic music that will let people forget their depressing circumstances.

Leading the way? BT has never been 'leading' the way. His "creative" way of producing music have never caught on as legitly "cool". He's famous for callborating on film scores and Nsync. That doesnt make him a leading force in Trance. To be honest Ive never been a fan of and his music makes me ill. I will admit though the best thing hes ever done is The AntiKythera Mechanism. |

Leading what way? Who followed? I don't hear any pop records filled with stutters and glitches. He was just taking an existing formula, copying it closely and over-producing it. He spent a good five years copying genre formulas. That isn't leading anywhere.

You need to think about who you are talking to before you post. SYSTEM-J is a big admirer of much of BT's work but thinks he went astray with his attempts at pop songs on Emotional Technology, and I happen to agree. |

| I'm a huge BT fan too BTW, but I agree in principle with Bo and J. However I would say he took the direction he took, because he was experimenting with what he could write and make popular. ET turned me off when I first got it, but after time some of the tracks really began to grow on me. |
