"Nobody?" Like I already said, it isn't hard to find some people who will listen to your music and tell you what they think about it.

Yeh your right. Thats why every "second" baseball player shouldnt learn how to swing a bat. Right? wtf.
What do you expect every second producer should do? Not learn from models of reality ("copy x presets")? Should they just imagine all this into their tracks?

Copying models is a great way to learn, but that's all it really is. Should people consider themselves great musicians just because they have figured out how to make an extremely close replica of [insert big producer here]? I mean, yeah, it is definitely an achievement, but how high is it really on the scale of artistic endeavors?

You and I both know there are very few people on here and in general who others take their advice and criticisms seriously. Those are the people that know enough about it to give constructive criticism but have not become too jaded by the industry and all the clowns running it.

I just got my Royalty statement from Bonzai. In a 5 month period I sold 2 copies of an EP. Yep, so 4 songs in total, that's .53 cents in Euros. The only reason for releasing through a label is status, internet radio/dj play, and the hopes that people will pirate your music. I hate to condone it, but that's the way this thing works. Without piracy, a lot of music would not get heard on a larger scale. I would release my tracks for free, but people only seem to want music that's signed to a label. I can understand that.

DJ/producers benefit the most from Piracy, the music promotes the gigs. So in a roundabout way they can profit.

if u released it yourself and promote it yourself u would get "alot" more sales and "alot" more %. most of my releases sell like 40 or 50 (includs all mixes though) and i get almost like 0,5->1EUR for them. This is total for all the websites im on so its not much but its more satisfying than just get a stupid statement from a label that claims your track suck. Actually I havent been able to invoice anything yet because the total amount on each website is less than minimum invoice, but anyhow i like it more this way. Just need more releases to get over the minimum limit. Then i can invoice like 500EUR (100EUR on 5 different sites).

His was leaked prior to release; it's already disturbing. I have no problem with things being pirated but it's bull that people leak it before it's even supposed to be out. Especially because it means it's someone from the label you're working with or a promo.

As I was vanity googling myself, I found that someone in a russian board was requesting a song i've made. Also found out the remix of my song made it to a edm torrent monthly dj mix.

it made me smile. not gonna lie.

If you are after sales, then consider making more commercial music. Everyone likes to diss Beibers dubstep track but I bet he has sold more copies of it than everyone on this forum's music releases combined.
