I've been using aVNC for a while now. It's pretty good. However it wont connect to a the Windows remote server. I installed RealVNC on PC to set up the server. |
Yeah, that's what I had running before, same combo... was hoping another contender arose.
I saw that the Splashtop Remote Desktop HD was doing pretty good on Appworld. Don't feel like dropping $5 on it just for trial purposes. Although it claims to be a bargain at regular price of $20. |

Am I the only one who thinks that the new blackberry bridge renders this largely obsolete? |
Obsolete on the go, yes... but in a sitdown environment, hotel room, airport, anywhere else you want to sit down and use your tablet with the nearest user experience once could have with a laptop or PC, it works. I think it would allow for better remote desktop experience and as the video mentioned, maybe better for an enterprise type situation.
I use the bridge/remote in a pinch when I'm just too bothered with the virtual keyboard. |

i bought the splashtop app after i was already using RDP lite on android and it sucked terribly.
in all honesty, the PB apps are lame compared to what exists on android. |

So you're suggestion is to sideload an Android remote desktop app over the PlayBook versions? |

The official twitter app for BlackBerry does suck if you use the touchscreen on a 9900. Buttons are too close to together and mapped too small, so you intend to hit one, it hits the other.
That's why I use ubbertwttier. |

| It's easy to tell BlackBerry fakes by noticing that they don't write the word BlackBerry properly with two capitals. |
