Free unlock for 9900 anyone?!
I can't remember that site that I did with my 9800, but everything I could find needs the MEP and I can't get that anymore because it's no longer (or maybe i'm stupid) available in the Engineering Diagnostics scree of the 9900.
Going to England in 2 weeks and need to get a local SIM while there.
Suggestions? (preferably not paying) |

Thanks guys, but I got it unlocked! Sorted! :)
Or, I think it's unlocked now lol, I put in the MEP2 code and it took successfully. But my SIM already showed as disabled before.
Any way to check without actually putting in a foreign SIM? |

Sent you both PMs...
I unlocked my phone, it works for voice and txting, but not BIS...weird. It says it's locked to another provider, and I got Rogers to zero out my PIN and stuff too and O2 to manually put in my PIN IMEI...
Ugh!
Maybe I didn't unlock it properly... |

That's definitely weird...
sounds like a faulty sim problem maybe? Can you get someone with BIS to pop their sim in and see if it registers? If text and voice work, I don't see how it could be an error with your phone, must be a network issue.... |

Now i'm really confused... my brother's O2 SIM with BlackBerry tarrif won't work or register on my 9900, and works on his 9800. And my SIM won't work on my 9900, but it works on his 9800.
So, it's not the SIM or the tarrif... it's the phone. Now, is it just not fully unlocked? Is it a Roger's thing, or does O2 just not like my 9900 or something.
Frustrating! O2 techsupport are dumb as , not to mention you can barely understand them they have such thick british accents and speak miles per minute lol! |
