and yes it is always up to the person to make the right choices, and while many people obtain these drugs illegally, many get them from doctors who know that they have no real need for them.
That is where the problem lies imo. |

so, what exactly would you consider medication for then, if not to treat such ailments? what was the point of developing medicines if we're not supposed to use them? |
I consider medication a last resort for children, the elderly and people unable to overcome their ailments without them. Twisted ankles heal, headaches subside, common colds are fought off. You don't need meds to fix these pathetic little problems. The more you use them, the more reliant you become on them, and I don't necessarily mean addiction but simply an inability to cope or fight off anything without popping pills. |

but if i have constant access to pills why do i need to care if i can cope without them or not? as someone who suffers regular headaches, why do i want to "get my man on" and tolerate them, if i can take some panadol and then go about my day, being productive and pain-free? |

The odds are you'll almost always have "constant access" to pills, and it won't matter, although in a few generations nobody will have immune systems or pain thresholds and they might just come to miss them. So go ahead: neck them and get on with it.
I don't like going on about the demise of society because I generally think that it's a load of idealised bollocks, but for me one of the biggest problems with people today is how soft we all are. We grow up without ever encountering any kind of hardship and we chemically remove any slight pain or discomfort, go to therapy for any emotional tremor, health-and-safety away the slightest potential risk or worry.
I'm not saying passing on the painkillers makes me John Rambo, but after a while you become dependent on your chemical crutches, and if you can't get through a common cold or a bout of insomnia without reaching for the drugs, what do you reach for when a serious obstacle comes up? |

:wtf: You're not willing to just go the outside? Tobacco smoke is a major risk factor for SIDS. If you're willing to accept even a remotely higher risk your child will suddonly stop breathing in exchange for not having to walk your ass outside for a smoke then you, quite frankly, are not equipped to be a father. |
Moral has spoken in more ways than one.
Sorry buddy but listen to the Haz man, he is totally right.
Go OUTSIDE it won't kill you, ffs! Yet smoking inside COULD kill your child. I have a baby and I smoke on occasion, I'd never want to harm her... I'd quit before I consider not taking my lazy ass outside to smoke :wtf: |

This. The smoking is nowhere hear as harmful for your baby as those Hardstyle/HHC vinyls you have lying around. |

This also.
I know people who take spare antibiotics they have lying around the house whenever they get a cold. It's idiots like them who contibute to the rise of things like Golden Staph. It's funny, I'm happy to pour all kinds of into my body at clubs, but I'm staunchly anti-drugs at home. When I got my tonsils and wisdom teeth out I basically did it drug-free when I had prescriptions for all kinds of . The nurses kept freaking out and trying to get me to take painkillers. |
