In this book, they discuss a case of a drug gang where many of the dealers refuse to work because they see it as degrading and beneath them. The head honcho was a former accountant or something mathematical and kept meticulous records of all gang profits and wages. What the authors found studying the records was that the average crack dealer at the bottom or even the middle of the gang earnt less than even the lowliest full-time employee. Then there is also the risk of death or jail. It's an interesting read. |

just a recap please to show how stupid i am.
I have proclaimed:
-Living on credit is a bad thing if you abuse it (which alot of people do stats shown)
-Adjustable mortgage rates are risky
-The global financial crisis was instigated by people living beyond their means (defaults on mortgages, forclosures, you can partially blame the big boys as lilith has civilly pointed out)
-alot of people abuse the welfare and union systems by not contributing back to the pot. (see all of the above) |
