Except it's not as easy as that for people who don't have social and emotional supports, education, quality living conditions, etc. |

So how do you know all this, exactly? Do you work closely with the impoverished? The disabled? I'm just wondering from what experience you're basing your statements on. |
i am basing my opinion on visual analysis.
Don't get disabled confused with obese and lazy.
fat and impoverished is an oxymoron.
IF you spent all your money on mcdonalds i shouldn't be forking over tax money for your next happymeal. |

Visual analysis of what? Please provide real insight to back up your claims, thanks.
It's very easy to make the kind of statements you're making when you don't understand the needs and lifestyles of others. Which you clearly do not. |

| that may be a bit over the top.. all i am saying is that people are generally hooked on welfare and EI and abuse the system. Its your taxpayer dollars too.. you should be concerned.. |

the reason why we are in a recession is because idiots who primarily collect welfare and take out huge loans they cannot pay back put so much of a drain on our system that our economy crashed. The whole premise of the subprime mortgage crisis is based on people trying to live beyond their means and salaries. In the end its the honest taxpayers that get dinged and simply welfare is supporting a credit lifestyle (ie a lifestyle which you borrow or get free money for doing nothing). |

| I'm not, and I don't think it's a waste at all. If you don't think the state of a country's poor is the best indicator of it's success or failure, then you're grossly misled. So yeah, it does concern me. |

It was six men of Indostan
To learning much inclined,
Who went to see the Elephant
(Though all of them were blind),
That each by observation
Might satisfy his mind
The First approached the Elephant,
And happening to fall
Against his broad and sturdy side,
At once began to bawl:
"God bless me! but the Elephant
Is very like a wall!"
The Second, feeling of the tusk,
Cried, "Ho! what have we here
So very round and smooth and sharp?
To me 'tis mighty clear
This wonder of an Elephant
Is very like a spear!"
The Third approached the animal,
And happening to take
The squirming trunk within his hands,
Thus boldly up and spake:
"I see," quoth he, "the Elephant
Is very like a snake!"
The Fourth reached out an eager hand,
And felt about the knee.
"What most this wondrous beast is like
Is mighty plain," quoth he;
" 'Tis clear enough the Elephant
Is very like a tree!"
The Fifth, who chanced to touch the ear,
Said: "E'en the blindest man
Can tell what this resembles most;
Deny the fact who can
This marvel of an Elephant
Is very like a fan!"
The Sixth no sooner had begun
About the beast to grope,
Than, seizing on the swinging tail
That fell within his scope,
"I see," quoth he, "the Elephant
Is very like a rope!"
And so these men of Indostan
Disputed loud and long,
Each in his own opinion
Exceeding stiff and strong,
Though each was partly in the right,
And all were in the wrong!
Moral:
So oft in theologic wars,
The disputants, I ween,
Rail on in utter ignorance
Of what each other mean,
And prate about an Elephant
Not one of them has seen! |

For sure i am concerned. That is why i don't think giving them free money to sit on their ass and buy big screen tv's is the solution.
You have to work for money. money is the incentive to work. when you give free money away you lose the incentive
1+1=2 get it |

Again, please tell me where you get this info from? Do you collect welfare yourself? Do you live in a geared to income housing community? Why do you have such privy knowledge into the lives of those collecting social assistance?
It's also NOT free money, btw. Lol. You truly have no idea. I mean that's not even up for dispute, because I actually do know how the Ontario Works program works. So go ahead and keep talking out of your ass. |

oh sorry i get it.. we are in this crisis because the idiots were ABLE to pay back their loans. Lets all blame the banks instead of the idiots who didn't budget their money. Keep in mind that the bank is doing you a favor by giving you a mortgage. Not the other way around.
