they don't make any money off the mortgage karim?
a bank isn't doing anyone a favour, if you don't have the down payment, you don't have the loan...the first 5 years of a long term fixed rate mortgage are spent pretty much only paying interest.
there is nothing free about it, you need 10% of the total investment up front...too poor, too bad. It is more for commercial/rental properties, at least in Quebec.
are the banks doing me a favour when they are allowing me to deposit my paychecks? No, they are offering me a service in exchange for profit/fees. |

| It's your continued insistence that you have *the* answer - when it's fairly obvious that you're missing a large chunk of the equation - that makes your every response in this thread farcical. |

the reason why we are in a recession is because idiots who primarily collect welfare and take out huge loans they cannot pay back put so much of a drain on our system that our economy crashed. The whole premise of the subprime mortgage crisis is based on people trying to live beyond their means and salaries. In the end its the honest taxpayers that get dinged and simply welfare is supporting a credit lifestyle (ie a lifestyle which you borrow or get free money for doing nothing). |

An example of lazy British oiks....and from about 2 miles away from where I was living. Yeah, OK, it's the Daily Mail again! (and a bit old but because it was on my doorstep I remember it)
I think anyone that decides to not work because the benefits are more lucrative highlights their lack of ambition and the system being broken. I think the UK would do well to adopt a system similar to what we have in Virginia, 6 months of unemployment benefit at a percentage of your previous earnings and then it gets cut off. |

I'm currently on welfare and I get £204 a month. |
