This legislation is the epitome of the democratic party. They think with their hearts rather than their minds. Sure the idea of everyone having health care is great, along with everyone owning a 4000 sq ft home and a Mercedes. The reality is that these are inconceivable in a global economy and only those that work the hardest deserve these things.
Us tranceddicts are young and for this I understand why that majority on this forum are pro-health care, but when you are older and in higher income brackets and are nearing retirement you will think otherwise about this presidency. Not only will you not be collecting social security but you will also be responsible for paying these debts. All those who want to work until their 85 please stand up. |

Yeah, let us 'youngins' know when YOU grow up and figure out how debt and taxes work in this country, because no one is going to be working till they're 85, and those of us in higher income brackets will hardly be affected by the new healthcare bill whatsoever.
About the reality, of these things being 'inconceivable' in a global economy, you might want to re-think that after pondering this graphic. Green countries have public universal healthcare, blue have a universal single payer system.
