haven't been much either this year...maybe twice
was supposed to go last Sunday, got cancelled again this year for Bender + Green LaTeez...there was a plan B at Abreuvoir with Paul Ritch.
Next Sunday, Konrad Black.
Markus: you've got to add the Oxia, kiki, Ellen Allien + Sascha Funke Monday Sept 6...this is one of the best line-up all year! |

haven't gone this year, don't plan on going. Prefer to spend my Sundays at Home depot lol:p
This being said, very curious about the attendance this year... anyone going that could relate his/her first hand experience? |

I've only been once myself so far...and we're practically September.
I don't know whether it's the consecutive rainy Sundays, the non-big name lineup or what...but there definitely seems to be less buzz about piknic BY FAR this year. |

I went 4-5 times this year... by far the biggest turnout was for Bassnectar, hell of a set even though most of you guys don't like his music. |

I agree this years Pik nik is a little Weak...Last year attended all but Breaks, Ninja & dubStep Days
Heard Paul Ritch tore it apart last night....
Went a handful of times. Nothing close to last year at all, Music or crowdWise. The best one by far I went to was Ostrich & Giles Smith. Really good turn out. Wish I could find a Video of the event...perfect day.
Secert Sundaze
Josh Wink ~ September 26th is always a Big draw as well |

You can't compare beach club to piknic, I think 89.9 (ottawa pop/rnb radio station) beats beach club terriblemusic... Not even calderone this year... recycle me some house plz |

Dude louis booked a bunch of house djs that havenever played at bc before. Chocolate pumas, avicii, sharam, alex kenji, bingo players, etc. Bookings have definitely not been recycled other than c&c n cube guys (which rock anyway soo). They had victor one year and I don't think they want to go in the drug fueled music zone. They just want happy uplifting beach music! :) |

there's also the tent and the old hip hop part that's now deep house, some good music coming out of there. At least you guys have been to both so your comparisons have 'some' validity :p
Piknic 'generally' will play more cutting edge music from what I've experienced there, but that's only good when they don't book acts like MSTRKRFT :p |
