Wouldn't folk psychologists just refer to intelligence as smartness? :p
P.S. Gah, your avatar! Aphex Twin got transsexualism all wrong! :p |

Actually, your entire line of reasoning in this thread revolves around willfully using different definitions of words to everyone else in the thread in order to start a discussion about a book you have read. |
Which is in itself a gem of irony, given the portion of the book that he quoted :p
| quote: | | THE ignorant man is not the unlearned, but he who does not know himself, and the learned man is stupid when he relies on books, on knowledge and on authority to give him understanding. Understanding comes only through self-knowledge, which is awareness of one's total psychological process. Thus education, in the true sense, is the understanding of oneself, for it is within each one of us that the whole of existence is gathered. |
Which, in turn, is completely trumped by this gargantuan piece of irony and cretinism:

The funny thing about Sam Harris's distorted perceptions and beliefs is that his whole philosophy is based on lies and stories told through a box that generated enormous revenue for a small group of people (and im not talking about the media or cable company.) Primarily because radicalism and fundamentalism, Al Qaeda, Taliban etc...are fully controlled by NON Muslim funded organizations and corporations that profit off of extremism, the charades of "fundamentalists". Fundamentalism (the thing that has helped sell these multi trillion dollar wars) was created in a boardroom...on perhaps a sketch pad or laptop. Not a product of the Quran given credence to the savagery of man. |

Blows your mind dont it? That pretty much everything you have believed the past 10 years = well conceived lie.
Of course what I have just said is inconceivable if people limit themselves to what they hear from the crooks that keep selling them lies, and dont do any qualitative reasoning of their own. |

i'm guessing you are mad...because you've been blatantly tricked for 10 years.
maybe over some more time it will gradually seep into societies conscience, that both groups (al qaeda and taliban) have been controlled remotely by their non muslim beneficiaries (multi trillion dollar.)
Start by looking up what Gladio is...if you value research. And then from there do some qualitative reasoning. |

Not sure what you're talking about. I'm not modest, being modest is a cheesey and risky way to survive. Have you seen a turtle? A turtle is modest. So is a snail. Ever step on a snail...accidently? Well thats what happens to modest people. Its interesting when people think modesty will win them some great reward. I rather be a chest bumpin hunter. |

well to clarify the 'book' is a transcription of several live talks he gave throughout his life, but yes, it's still an authority that can be misleading.
as has been pointed out many times in the thread, the learning process should result in some kind of self knowledge or self-realization, whether or not you read books.
in the end if you are only regurgitating facts or techniques, you have missed the point, so there really is no irony in what K has said. In his talks you find that he is often reluctant to talk to certain people who ask questions because he can tell that they are only looking for the newest plumber to fix their spiritual leak. |

Obviously you enjoy some form of unproven lie filled information. Since you use the internet (this forum)...everyday...for many hours a day?
Using your logic CNN = Correct. Newspaper = So Correct. History Book = Super Correct. You should be thankful of Youtube, its one of the few mass consumed spaces where real people share unfiltered information. |

Except for random moderating issues, I come here to chill out, and have a laugh :) There is an excellent, entertaining community here on TA, and when I come to the COR, I find so many people with among the best senses of humour I've ever come across :)
Why do you come here? |

Good luck with finding vagina in real life :) You won't have much luck here. Dating sites might suit your personality better, though. I'd recommend you don't talk about the conspiracy stuff, or if you do, make sure you wear a foil hat to the date. |
