If we're on the topic of pizza, I can't let this slide without mentioning my favourite place...DANTE'S.
Not really in Toronto but it's well worth the drive. It's up in the Dufferin/Hwy 7 area.
I'm not gonna lie...it's not cheap. Pretty damn expensive actually (its considered "gourmet pizza". whatever that means) but by far the greatest pizza i've ever had.
While we're on the topic, the one thing from them that is even better than the pizza is their sliced steak or veal sandwiches. 15 bucks and probably the greatest thing that you could ever treat your tastebuds to. |

Abruzzo's deep-fried panzerottos kick ass if you've got a craving for something unhealthy lol
but neither Abruzzo's or Ricci's pizza hits the spot for me the way Dante's does. That being said...I've had numerous arguments with the gf over which pizza joint is better. lol |

another fave ~ Italian
The Big Ragu on Lansdowne at St.Clair. It's a really cozy, intimate little place. Very yummy casual Italian food. |

Smoke's is a pathetic excuse for a poutine. |
the OP asked for the best place in TORONTO and i do think smokes would be the best in toronto.
your statement would be like me saying there is no good chinese food here in toronto because the best is in hong kong/china so nobody should eat chinese food here and must fly out to china. not a good answer.
when i am here i will get poutine from wherever possible; smokes, burger king, ny fries, etc. because i dont exactly go to montreal that often. |

btw, since you suggested craft burger earlier, have you ever tried their poutine? I always hear it's pretty good, but I've just never bothered. |

Burritos - Burrito Boyz or Burrito Banditos (formerly Burrito Boys) is really good. And I tried that place on Yonge near the Eaton Centre....Chipotle Grill. They're pretty good and have a nice variety of wraps. Fast food, no doubt though.
Has anyone tried ztecha gourmet burritos? |
