I FAO'd Ygrene because I know he works in the business. I wanted to know if it was ok to use regular detergent in high efficiency machines. It's not. :o |

| When i lived with my girl, we pretty much did everything together. depending upon who got home first that person would usually start cooking or getting stuff ready for the night, then the other would step in and help. It worked pretty we were both pretty energetic and efficient people who were always clean. so unless one was sick or reeaaaallly tired that night the other would pick up the slack. Its really not that hard unless your SO is a complete lazy slob and get a long well lol. |

no formal plan, just randomly do things and it eventually evens out. both of us do laundry, dishes, cooking, cleaning. i do more vacuuming because I actually enjoy it (and lugging that cleaner up and downstairs is a bit heavier work, so I do it). and no one touches my car; so I end up washing hers.
she takes more interest in cooking, though, but when she's standing there I always help.
recently painted a wall for the first time, it was fun with her. We sometimes have a "power half-an-hour" on the weekend where we team up and assault a floor with dusting, vacuuming, windex/pledge, etc.
she's cleaned more toilets than I have; and then I cover tub and shower. |

I think it's just the fact that it's easy to do, yet it makes SUCH a difference. You can think your house is spotless, but then give it a good vacuuming, and all of a sudden it still looks 10 times cleaner. |
