We do, we don't have a double sink. But we only wash big stuff, pots+pans, etc. by hand. Dishwasher is pretty much just for plates, bowls, cups/glasses, and utensils.

I completely agree with Chem. If the wife isn't working then she has to do stuff around the house. Can't seriously expect the man to work all day and bring in the money and still take half of the housework.

Why wouldn't your wife be working though? God, I could never tolerate a housewife.

Well, I actually do agree as well. While I realize he's joking/playing up the chauvinist thing, I find that sort of attitude repulsive. There still has to be a level of respect. I just picture some fat lazy slob coming home at the end of the day, plopping his ass down in front of the tv, and expecting his wife to do everything for him.

An unemployed person should definitely do MOST, not ALL of the work around the house.

Sometimes I have to. It would be nice if I could soak everything, and then wash it, but the baking sheets, pots and pans can sometimes be too big to soak. Dishes pile up incredibly quickly.

Edit: And cutting boards are tough to wash also!

Where would I find a chain that's long enough to let her out of the house?

An unemployed woman should definitely do ALL, not MOST of the work around the house.

in all honesty I would much prefer going out and earning money every day then having the job of a housewife.

I don't agree with that, man or woman. Doing housework all day, then doing more when your SO comes home isn't fair. Just because you're not getting paid doesn't mean it isn't work. Anything that goes on outside of the 9-5 should be shared.

Yeah well, I'll probably make more money than you, and you'd have to do all the housework. ;)
