Seriously, when is this foolishness going to end?
| quote: | A group of Chinese and Turkish evangelical Christians said they had uncovered remnants of Noah's Ark on its legendary mountain resting place in Turkey.
Noah's Ark Ministries International, a Hong Kong-based documentary outfit, said they recovered wooden specimens from a structure on Mount Ararat in eastern Turkey that carbon dating proved the material was 4800 years old, around the same time the ark is said to have been afloat.
"It's not 100 per cent that it is Noah's Ark but we think it is 99.9 per cent that this is it," said Yeung Wing-cheung, a Hong Kong documentary filmmaker and member of the 15-strong team from
The structure had several compartments, some with wooden beams, which were believed to house animals, he said.
The group of evangelical archaeologists ruled out an established human settlement on the grounds as none have been found in the vicinity, Mr Yeung said. |

To be fair, Noah's Ark does not require the flooding of the whole Earth. It could've been just a regional thing that became a myth. Therefore, if you prove Noah's Ark existed it does not mean the flooding as described in the Bible existed ;) |

Funny thing is, ancient flood myths reverberate around the world, not just in the Middle East. |

| So evangelicals used carbon dating - a method they don't believe in - to prove their point? |
