Joris Voorn plays functional tracks these days. Occasionally he'll throw an anthem or two into the mix. He said so himself in an interview. It's just easier, and people seem to like it even more. His sets have very good energy but a lot of the tracks are rather uninteresting. Still, his sets are a lot of fun to dance to, especially the more summer-flavored ones.
Anyway, as far as his productions these days go, I hate them. He's basically just catering to the flavor of the moment. I think he used to make much better music, i.e. From a Deep Place LP and before. Also, I find that his tracks/remixes these days sound, I dunno, cheap? Maybe it's the fact that he uses Abelton. Its like they're really crisp and hollow-sounding. I don't know if it's just me, but anyway, I don't like them.
With that said, Green is still a great label. Not so much a fan of Rejected though. And also, I'm pretty sure he uses Traktor to DJ. MAybe Abelton for loops/samples but the bulk of what he plays runs through Traktor. |

I was looking for this podcast but couldnt find it. I think Joris rocks- I heard him for the first time in WMC this year and he blew me away- havent heard him for years like some here but I do dig him.

| Was a big fan of his Balance mix, and last year's EM, though I get what people are saying about his latest productions being a bit cold and overproduced... especially compared to stuff from "From A Deep Place". |

| Heard of getting the Blance mix but never got around to it. Will give it a shot. As for him djing, he's pretty good, I've always had a blast whenever I did manage to catch him, I think 2x so far. |

Thats funny because i think his Beachball remix is choice.
I love the live feel he brings to his tracks, end of story.
