Oh, I agree, but what exactly does that have to do with Bob Rae no longer being Premier of Ontario, 15 years after the fact? I can see where it would apply if it were 1996 and Rae were still Premier, but you're really tilting at windmills with this one.

It's an example of what we have come to expect from NDP governments. Truth is, there aren't any good examples of fiscally responsible NDP governments; subsequently, it isn't outrageous to presume the NDP would not control costs any better.

That said, there also are very few examples of fiscally responsible Conservative (progressive or otherwise) over the past 100 years in this country; subsequently, it seems the old prejudice that Conservatives are prudent managers of the public purse is as farsical as the NDP prejudice is true.

(that's right, I just supported Jayx and bitch slapped him at the same time... I'm good like that).

sorry jay

Hosting G20 Summits are exactly that mistake.

While it wasn't ours it is not an unknown disaster that plagues the cities it is facilitated in.

Yay Jay hide the mistake in a transparent and ludicrous arms length attack on the NDP and forever remain a petty conservative peddling pathetic passes. This is not a wise decision for largest city in Canada.

this is no more a cost problem, than it is a logistical nightmare and a threat - far larger than any reported after 9/11 against this city - this is a full circle you to the citizens of the GTA. Courtesy of Harper, a man famous for his disinterest and disloyalty to those in Ontario.

He is clearly done with our province, we are a wasteland in his view and he just shat a massive disaster on the laps of the largest concentration of his voters in the country he serves.

Each Canadian paid $30 for the security (seeing the use of tax dollars)

Everyone throw a rock and break a window downtown to get your $30 satisfaction.

I was listening to AM640 and a caller had a great idea for security. Take all the leaders ad put them on a warship in the middle of Lake Ontario and have the summit on the ship.
