Like most of the members posting before me I'm also very disappointed about Tranceaddict's communication. If there's a winner, they should announce it. Apart from that failure they should learn from the lessons they learned this time. If (maybe) they didn't have enough time to listen to all the sets in time they should give themselves a bit more time or build an extra team next time. And they should inform the community if it will take longer.
If DJ Apsara won the contest: Congratulations! But shame on Tranceaddict. I don't demand perfect professionality (maybe they're all not that experienced like Armada staff etc.) but proper social handling.

lol at angry trance crackers losing plur by the second.

LOL at the sore losers. Way to go Aspara!

Sore losers..there are some probably. I have entered so many competitions in the past 5 years, took part in 1st and 2st stages, only won 1. Had a few gigs with some big names too. :gsmile:
I've learnt from those a lot and always take every competition as an opportunity, but never expect a lot. Not worth moaning on who won and why..just accept the fact and keep going..you know how good or not you are and what to improve.
There are loads of thousands of DJs in the world, you need to figure out yourself how to make it big and hopefully get the "big break". Just djing is definitely not enough. load of hard work, dedication, love for music etc..

Anyhow, if she won, congrats, but I've heard a lot of better sets [I'm remembering mfitter or something :p] wich was a lot better.
Besides, to me, this is not a progressive or trance set, with the same sound troughout the whole set. I'm not going to watch this. :eyes:

Hey guys,
DJ Aspara is indeed the winner!
As mentioned, the main criteria of a dj set "comprised of an original tracklist with quality mixing ... with a unique sound that clearly stands out from the rest of the entries" is what clinched it! The decision was not an easy one as there were many great mixes submitted and some funny comments as well (especially some of the entries saying how they were already going to Tomorrowland and if they won we wouldn't have to pay a flight). Keep in mind that this contest was open to all and not just the veterans of Tranceaddict -- special mention goes out to Blighty who was the most senior member to have submitted a mix. :)
Given the massive amount of submissions that came in during the last two days we had to delay determining the winner until we had heard all the mixes. We apologize for that. Since this was the first time we ran one of these, on such a scale, it caught us off guard how many waited until the absolute last minute to send their sets. Hindsight is 20/20 and discussion has already taken place about how future contests will be arranged differently to accommodate this.
I know many of you are disappointed that you did not win but please don't lose faith - we were actually very impressed with the quality of most of the mixes that came in and will be contacting some of you.
I definitely agree, just keep doing what you're doing...it will only benefit you as person and your skills in mixing. consider the contest as a gift if you win. :)
