man that sucks, looks like Venus has a pretty good quarter now...I can't believe Ivanovic won so easily. |

you guys are so interested in the women!!! i don't have the patience to watch women's tennis lolol
can't believe berdych is about to go out |

| Lunar Phase 7 |
So americans play tennis now huh?
Another sport you've stolen there.
Is it really hard to make your own up?
Adapting a game like rugby by wrapping players in marshmallows does not count either. |

i watch the men's section too. :p
newcomwer qualifier harrison gave ljubicic a beatdown earlier today. his post match interview was pretty funny. i think he has ADD, because he was just bouncing off the walls. however, the guy is well articulate for being 18. |

venus getting a surprise from marino. :D
* awaits chimera's rant how venus doesn't have the killer instinct like her younger sister * |

as of late women's tennis hasn't been exciting. nobody can really beat serena when she gets far in a major and when people do it's mostly because she beats herself. no excitement plus the other "good" players aren't really consistent or that outstandingly great players. good example is right now some qualifier from canada is taking venus to a tie break in the first set.

well at least she took the 1st set.
// edit
speaking of women's tennis and the united states, if you look past the williams sisters, there is nothing. closest to competition is oudin, and she's #47. the future of women's tennis in the US looks very sparse at the moment.
// edit edit
harrison is a good interviewee and ljubicic's shirt looks awful. |

yes and now all is well in the world.
yeah the USTA has a real problem because we don't have any good youngsters, that's why they've put in all types of energy trying to find athletic kids and putting a racket in their hands before they commit to other sports. |
