My man monfils making a statement win against his fellow countryman gasquet. I thought gasquet would take a set or two, but monfils had control of the match at the start. Congrats to him.
Next for him? A very stable djokovic in the quarters. I have faith in my man monfils.
Other quarterfinal is soderling-federer. That may be a very interesting semi if soderling doesn't get mentally beatdown by federer.
Forgot to mention my first time attendance at the us open a couple of days ago. I found it very thrilling. I loved the atmosphere, the court setups, and mostly arthur ashe stadium. The stadium looks awesome with the way the seating is setup. It's shaped like an octagon, and the seats go straight up. Would I go again in the future? Sure. :p

Venus-minella. Went to see a bit of it and left. Venus beat her down pretty well. Not too interesting. Venus's dress did look a bit "loud".
Nadal-istomin. Excellent 3 set match. Although we clearly knew istomin was outmatched, he gave it his all on the court. Kudos to him.

Clijsters doesn't look that sharp, but she is using her head and exploiting Stosur's weakness. You can tell she's a doubles player. Hard to believe someone who runs around their backhand can be ranked 6 in the world. She does have some serious guns. Venus should be able to beat Clijsters in the next round.
