definetly not expecting to not have a goal scored against us ...

Boston doesn't have the scoring depth to go all the way, imo. That said, some high scoring teams like Philly, Chicago, Tampa and Washington didn't do all that great offensively either.

Motherf*ckin Subban was on Lucic’s ass all night. He’s so freaking good it’s crazy. Looks like a veteran out there!
Our D is so effective and disciplined must be very frustrating for the other team to play against. The center of the ice is completely shut down, the habs forwards fall back in their zone and force the Bruins offence to the sides and they end up taking weak shots which Carey can easily stop. Did someone say #WINNING formula??

Yep. The “Anti-Hockey” defensive trap with some goalie magic sauce.
Boring to watch but very effective to win games when you have limited offence. Drives the other team crazy too (2-man coverage on the best players, always on their asses).
Probably can’t win cups with this style of play though…at one point you need to score goals but your forwards are always skating back in their own zone, pushing their bodies 150% every shift.

Actually it's not the real trap because they allow the offence to enter the zone, that's what's crazy about this system.

I wouldn't say that it's boring but it's so stressful

Ya did it ever...goalie standing on his head...holding on a 1 goal lead playing the trap...shift change every minute....playing in our end most of the game = Jacque Martin hockey!

The "real trap" died post-lockout imo, and thank freaking god for that.

Its not the real trap because you aren't allowed to ride players like sleigh dogs anymore. The Habs system is essentially the same with more emphasis on puck support and high player on the far side for a counterstrike vs a 2 man lock on the wing like a team like the Devils used.
