don't jinx it, that kind of comment is more suitable from a leafs fan:p
i'm kind of amazed at our record so far, as we haven't really played that well. The defensive system is working though, and playing in a "collapse" scheme means carey usually only needs to make the first save...which he has been doing.
the best pk in the league offsets to a certain point having one of the worst pp's. markov will improve this, but the habs need to stop looking for the pretty play and get point shots to the net with bodies in front. The best pp chances last night all happened this way.
i don't get why darche keeps playing but boyd has spent 3 games eating hot dogs in the pressbox. i get that boyd took a really dumb penalty, but he has more upside in the lineup than darche has.
gotta love AK playing for the money...if it keeps up every team will offer him 1 year contracts so he can always play like he was in a contract year.
Leave gomez alone for now. In his best career season he had 83 points, but in the first 15 games of that year he had 8 points and was -8. Martin needs to stop putting moen and pyatt on that line. Keep pouliot on the line, and it will pay off once in awhile vs juggling lines. Other than Gionta...Gomez and Pouliot have always been streaky players that disapear for long periods of time...i don't see how anyone can expect this to change.

Great game. Awesome 3rd period. Everyone looked good tonight!
One word: MARKOV!
I haven't verified this info yet but someone on HFboards noted that last year, Gomez got 42 points in the 45 games that Markov played. Interesting stat imo.
Making it look like Gomer is milking off Markov's perfect passes when he's playing. Let's wait a bit. It took Gomez 10 games to do anything last season.
i miss Bergeron, he was a mini-markov to support the PP.
Subban and Spacek cant hit the net from the blue line :(

i don't.
you can't dress a defenseman to only play the power play, especially when that defensemen has to be considered among the worst defensively in the nhl. there is a reason why no other team offered him a contract (yes he is injured, but no one has been banging on his door.
