i wanst joking either. its important to make the studio inspirational. art, plants & animals and various types of lights is a good thing. also a couch for relaxing after a fight with the wifey for being down there too much, resulting in being there even more.

whatever setting that works with your mind will do the job! relaxing, but not too much relaxing, serious but not that serious,

it is a little too dull for my tastes. I like having a few paintings to look at and I need a window or I will get panic attacks. maybe replace the large TV with a big water tank with fish. That would be neat with soundproof glass. and an lcd monitor that can slide down when you need it. Nothing says success like expensive fish. I mean sure, clients might be impressed by the monitors but trust me, once they see the collection of endangered fish in your tank, they will just assume you are rock and roll and sign the agreement on the spot. "So what do you use for software" "Did you see the in giant cod in my tank? Good, now lets talk about the money.
Dude, that so 90's. At least make it a shark tank. Nothing screams excess (or Bond, circa 1966) more than that. And a small one won't do. It needs to take up serious real estate, and be big enough that you could feed them with a person.
Anyway, are you extremely short sighted or have tunnel vision? That last pic has 3 x 24" widescreen monitors that's 6 linear feet or screenage, and about 8 sqft of hi-res kiddie porn display there, all at less than 2 foot distance. Surely that's enough for you?

i think what richie means is that hed like an entire wall to be a screen. and the opposite wall a fishtank. and then the right wall a big window and left wall the entrance and some art and probably aircon-fans. i totally get it, seriosly. except the screen part.

Ill add a vinyl player to listen to this, nice old flavour hehe

I was referring to Palms setup. Sharks was 90s, fish tanks was 80s and made a come back in the early 2000. The next decade, trust me ... Penguins. Hopefully the climate shift will cause a bit of disarray causing Penguins to get lost making poaching a little easier. Would only need about 3 or 4. basically like the setting they had for madagascar. I know they won't talk but I can imagine they are talking all military like when I'm bored.
I do like the cleanliness. My work area has books all over the place with sheets of music thrown about. Quite messy right now actually.

Oddly that's almost identical to the idea I had for next years purchases, only one MC Mix though! I'll probably go for a couple of decent 24" screens as they're so ridiculously cheap these days. I did toy with the idea of a set of Twin 6 Be's as well but I suspect my HS80s in a treated room will more than suffice for my needs.
I'm toying with the idea of a RNP too but I still think the convertors in the MR816 are superb, more than enough for me tbh. The DM3200 was partially a lust rather than a reality. The control surface option would be a far cheaper option. I've done a bit of downtempo and ambient lately and mixing with a mouse, one fader at a time was a total chore.

I think the space treatment is essential!! think of the air between you and your monitors, sound travels thru it. You can put the more expensive monitors in the room, but the chains breaks at its weakest point..

not sure i could produce anything while having penguins staring in the back of my head all the time. :nervous: but a glasswall full of amazonas bugs could be awesome. or keep it at 70 degrees celsius in there and watch what kind of new lifeforms would pop up while looking for inspiration. might end up making true dinotrance again.

Yup, i've had to make do without for ages. Next year there's a budget and space for treatment.
