I can't believe you are talking about the speed of sound over a distance of less than three metres.

And I'm good to go. I've been doing it all on AKG headphones hooked to my Soundblaster for the last 1,5 years! I hope my mixdowns will get better. Working on only headphones every day is a bitch  gets me all claustrophobic and so.

Though I'm not sure about the Mackie's yet and I'm a complete newbie on monitors.. I'm gonna have to take a look at the various monitor threads we had going on.
Kenny Rogers
the mackies will probably get your bass right and you can play loud. im not sure about mids and highs though, but for edm theyre probably good decent. they are big though, and probably harsh - and you would need room-threatment. if i where you id also consider some smaller ones like JBL LSR, Focal CMS, Genelec 80xx, Dynaudio BM-serie. U might find the flat freq-resp and clearer midrange very helpful!

JEO
Yeah I would totally want a flat as possible response. Now that I think of it, I would benefit from a smaller setup, as I'm possibly moving again next fall, and to a smaller apartment. I've got a good solid table, but the monitors shouldn't propably be put on a flat surface? Rather on stands.

JBL LSR 2325P

255, - € / each

Focal CMS40

298, - € / each

?

The Genelecs will be out of my price range I reckon.
Fledz
Are the Dynaudio BM5a in your price range?
