if you don't mind ppl laughing at you behind your back. the other part is its a sign of respect. its childish thing to break social conventions especially at someone else's event. its their day don't be a jack to attract attention to yourself. like jp said suck it up for one day.

I have to agree with Jenny. I cringe when I see a guy wearing sneakers with something formal.. OR they're always wearing flip flops and cargo pants :nervous: (I know I shouldn't judge, but it straight up gives the impression that the guy doesn't know how to dress) I'm sure there are girls who must love it and find it attractive :)

I say he goes bare footed...or he can also wear flip flops

What if the bride tells me she likes it? Like I said, you guys are taking this way more seriously than anyone around here.

By the way, this thread is getting too serious. Here's the pair of shoes I bought for the next occasion:

I'm definitely wearing that with a black tie, though I can't make up my mind about the colour of the shirt. "White" is too monochromatic. Hmm...

Its our job to take things that don't concern us seriously. :p

We are just giving you our opinions. Do what you like it not a big deal to me because I'm not involved.

You know, sometimes the COR acts like a teen girl that ignores whomever fancies her but is head over heels whenever someone ignores her. I mean, when a user is desperately craving for advice and opens their heart, no one takes the poor sap's plea for help seriously and often acts cruelly. However, a person that isn't going to change receives all sorts of advice and opinions :D

Ps.: It's not like I'm original or anything...

Problem? :D

Its not like we are trying to change your fundamental beliefs or asking you to embark on some life altering path. We're just suggesting you wear proper dress shoes with a suit for a few hours.

But it's funny because I do it when I have to.

By the way, I just had an awesome idea thanks to this thread and that video you posted. It should take just a few minutes...

I never understood the commotion behind this one either, and I was actually surprised by how often it popped up after I posted one or two pictures in the hundreds of years I've been here. Either way, I get a real kick out of this debate now because it's completely random :D

haha yeah i know your not taking it seriously, that's why i did a big rant :gsmile:

So what is the difference? Why be so insistent upon wearing sneakers? What difference does it make to just suck it up and wear occasion appropriate footwear? Works both ways does it not?

why go out of your way to get shoes you'll wear once in a blue moon? Is clothing the most important thing in the world!?

Luckily Lira already has a misses who is obviously not as shallow, and can look past his footwear, to see his magnificent, pulsating, moist brain, and his pumping, engorged and positively huge heart...
