| Agreed, but being played there is what most people here admire right? |

I don't know, i just stopped feeding trolls a long time ago :D
Come on, what do you expect a discussion on what people define intristic value for their needs? That's just a rathole.
In don't need to convince anyone, neither the other way around.
You can not define for me where to find value and fulfillment, neither can i for you. I can explain why i do what i do, but if you find it crap? your call. Same rules apply the other way around.
The only difference is: i still can do all the stuff that you do. And if i really want to i can also do it better. as in tighter, punchier, more warmth, bigger stage, without those crappy phased stereo spread artifacts. Do you find value in that? if yes, good for you, If not than no need to convince eachother right?
- The proof of hte pudding is in the eating
- Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
- Lack of funds is always a compromise for decission criteria |

This is exactly what my earlier post was aimed towards originally before I edited it. This comes across quite arrogant. I'd say your beatport proves you wrong. I'd feel more inclined to say your music sounds overly mixed, stale and bland mostly. Apart from one track I actually never quite felt it, which music is primarily about. You might put it off as being my opinion but I don't think that is the actual problem. Your mixes sound transparent but have no life/feeling in them anymore.
I feel you focus on the technical side to much hoping it will make up for the poor musical content. Whilst being able to afford yourself some quality gear you boast with every day your portfolio doesn't back any of it up. If anything, I think your music could actually benefit from doing less regarding the mixdown. It's a shame really.
I'm not saying my music is any better, I do however thing you're a bit out of touch with reality and need to get off that cloud you're sitting on.

...but doesn't necessarily compromise the results. |

Ok, let's rephrase this before it turns into an unintended cat fight.
You can you better quality productions with my gear can you can do in your box. Does that sound better? :D
you don't have to like my music, it's not a problem. |

But seriously, ST's productions WILL sound better once ran through an analogue chain.
Guys nobody is saying that VSTi's are e, some of you are just so ing ignorant, because they had a Roland MC-303 or Korg KAOSS, or Drumstation thingy, with a crappy Mackie VLZ mixer in the past, they think they know anything about high end analogue. based upon some ing toys. No use discussing that.
It will change over time once you have to opportunity to actually play with some this stuff. Then you will experience exactly where it differentiates and where it has a function in your setup. |

Who cares. Song writing is so under appreciated that it's sad. |

elaborate on your point? remember, this discussion is not about the carpenter, but the quality of nails and hammer.
It's so easy to make this a "what a waste of gear, for such a lack of talent" issue. Because that's not what this topic is about. |
