man you are living in the past lol, do you want to make music or do you want to run a museum? dont u see that m4bs studio is how stuff is suppose to be now? "ill stick to analog man, its best", lol. sorry i must make fun of it.
id rotate the two screens in the middle though putting them above each other to atleast have something in the center where main stuff is. this setup would up my neck as it is now.
richie, how does the iPad intergrate with a Mac? can i use it as a touch screen for OSX? id love to connect only two ipads to my macbook pro (with lid closed) only (i dont need big screen), controlling the whole OSX but i dont know if that works?
would it work as Remote Desktop so i could do it all wirelessly over the wlan? this would solve my cable issues too. ive thought about start trek emidiatly when seeing your pic lol. awesome. |

yup. I went to bed last night and we watched a movie just streaming of my computer basically streams your computer screen and sound at a lower resolution. I can also run big apps on my computer and have the output on the screen lying in bed. I don't like gimmicks but the ipad is really cool and the apps are so damn cheap but so many people buy them that there is actually money in development. Not to mention they are rather cheap.
touchosc is great tho as it is independent of the actual protocol. You can use it with midi, or create key macros for other programs like photoshop.
As far as the neck strain, the top of the monitor is a little lower than head level actually it is right at my ears which is then flush with my monitors which are right beside. so you are always looking down and your spine is aligned. You start getting strain when you have to tilt your head which you tend to do when looking up put not really down. |

| i dont want it for apps and , but as a interface against the mac somehow. could i split the screen over two iPads making one default? and actually launch ableton clips from finger instead of mouse/controller? this is interesting. id make a cockpit with three ipads in a 45 degree angle, hiding everything else. and maybe a keyboard, mouse, magictrackpad, midipaino beneath. think im buying one just to experiment around a little. |

| yes. And remember that the ipad is still in its first year. It really is a cool tool. My girlfriend got hers first instead of a laptop and I was so impressed that I had to one. Then I got another one and I will be getting 1 more. |

| i think this is the only way trance will be good again, when the artists pretend to be running a spaceship, like they did in the early 90s. lol. suddenly wanted to make psytrance again now. |

| it does take a bit of work to set everything up however. But once you have a template, you can really fly. There really is no reason for hardware or at least the sort of hardware that people justify because it is more hands on. |

| what im trying to find out is if i can use the iPad as the main monitor on my macbook (closed lid), with touch compatibility and instant reaction (when connected through usb of course). also one more thing. can i listen to music and surf the web at the same time when using the iPad alone? multitasking so to say. oh and another thing, does it have iChat? i need that. why cant just macbook pro be touch instead. it doesnt feel like the future yet. im almost 30 years, its about ing time something happens. |
