Agreed. He is doing much better then I thought. It is pathetic how Harper is dodging every question on Democracy and changing it back to the Economy. |
It seems Harper doesn't even understand the democratic process in this country.
Layton likes to just stir up between harper and iggy. At times Duceppe looks like he just wants to scream bull at harper. |

Did Layton honestly just use the word bling???:stongue: :stongue: :stongue:
If I was in Quebec I would vote Duceppe without a doubt. |

I think Iggy won this debate....which honestly surprises me. I think Duceppe comes in second, then Harper and then Layton. The only reason I put layton last is because he is a non-issue in the election. I really with Elizabeth May was a part of this....she would have stirred up.
Duceppe's head is going to blow. |

Duceppe is def. the worst of all 4 in the debate. Reminds me of Dion and just make me cringe everytime he opens his mouth. Duceppe is only there to skew election results vote-wise. He should stick to provincial politics and let the big guys worry bout federal (not taht the other leaders are any good!)
Personally, i think Harper won the debate. He was more specific on his plans and defending himself. The other 3 just attacked for 2 hours and didnt really show how they can do better. The exception is layton where he actually laid specific plans.
Iggy did not impress me and the liberals plan has nothing special. |

| I must admit I am saddened by what little discussion there has been about not just the debate but the election in this thread. |

I don't know if deflecting questions is the best way to win a debate....which is basically all harper did. I do admit Harper has a more difficult position then any of the other party leaders. Harper just keeps telling non-truths and that bothers me. I would have a much easier time voting conservative if Harper wasn't in charge.
Layton can lay out all the specific plans he wants it doesn't really make a difference. He doesn't stand a chance of actually getting elected. If Layton ever does get elected this country will be in serious trouble because there is no way he can implement half the things he says. Layton functions best in a minority government....and I'm sure he would love to see another minority government.
Duceppe's problem is simply a language issue. He is very bright and does have good ideas....unfortunately those ideas are centered around Quebec and not Canada. |

im sad there was no mention of UBB and telecoms in the debate... no big surprise tho
Layton does have a target on CC fees....but in the end...if u cant afford the interest then don't use cards |

Ignatieff couldn't muster anything outside of Anti-Conservative rhetoric the whole time. Harper stood his ground well, but I love how Layton called him on his bull. So did Duceppe but unfortunately the majority of non-francophones are just going to see him as an angry old disturber.
I like the NDP platform but I need to see more on how it's going to get done and not just wild campaign promises. That being said, I will be voting NDP in this election because I'm offended that I'm being told that a vote going anywhere other than the Liberals or Conservatives is a waste. I don't want a Harper majority because that's just dangerous, and I sure as shooting don't want an Ignatieff majority.
Who the thought that guy was a good idea anyways? Put Bob Rae up there and I might be inclined to believe a single thing the party is saying. |

| Harper's fake calmness freaks me out. He's like a void where passion has gone to die. At least Iggy is making an effort to show some emotion and is doing a lot better than when he first started. |

| Harper looked like someone without any soul or compassion and it was disturbing seeing him attempting to smile once in a while.. |
