i think people bash him on here because they want to be cool. doesn't make them cool tho. makes them look bitter and jealous.

also the funny thing is, i would say close to half the people on TA are social inept because they sit behind a screen and do not know how to interact with real people in real situations.

Well I'll agree with you here Margs...

And yes I am a little jealous...

Who wouldn't be? He's got quite the life..

really? cuz i don't like people coming and talking to me when i am on my blackberry. can't you see i am busy or trying to avoid talking? would you interrupt someone if they were actually talking on the phone?

also, i can imagine, 30 seconds always turns to 30 minutes especially in a club. so imagine how awesome it is when you have hundreds of saucer size pupil people trying to talk to you. frig, i'd be on my blackberry too.

I'm not talking about talking on the phone, smarty...

And when you're a celebrity, you have to deal with fans...

That's just the way it is..

I think you missed my point... the flaming of him started before his colourful (to be charitable) responses. Ripping him a new on these boards has less to do with him as a person then him as a success. It's a pretty well established pattern. If someone wants to flame him because he doesn't sufficiently ingratiating himself to his fans that's fine; however, most of what I see are flame posts seemingly born out of our pathalogical need to tear down anyone from our special little underground that gets any measure of mainstream success. It wouldn't matter if Joel gave a blow-job and potted plant to everyone on TA, we'd still hate on him.

(yeah, I don't know why a potted plant either)

I got your point bud..

I just added to it...

Potted plant I would like but a bj??

Did you see that picture from the other thread???

Just kidding Joel...

I know the ground teeth were a means to an end...

it is true. fans are important but you have to admit, there is a time and a place.

any other DJ, travels with a security crew that tells fans to off. is that what people would prefer? or they would say, "ugh, joel is such a diva he needs security, blah blah blah, bitch bitch bitch". ever try talking to any DJ in the middle of the club?

lol @ the drama.

Double lol @ joel wondering why people on here rip him. It's TA dude it's what people do. Coming here and questioning the hate is like walking out into the rain and wondering why you got wet. Whether you like it or not this place is on the opposite end of the spectrum from the 2mil + fans on FB who spam you with "firsts!" in .5 seconds and "omfg more mau5head pleezzzz." If you want props go see fans, if you want hate come post on TA.

As for ripping up TA as a forum, it's a ing forum. Show me any one of these on the net and my 12 year old sister could rip it apart, easiest thing ever.

Joel, I liked the thread you made in the production forum, that was really helpful. Maybe some more of that?

"the scene" dude. What the is "the scene" anyway? this ? can someone clear this up for me? because all i get is, "the scene" is a buncha forum kids, each claiming to know more about EDM, the music business, and everything else in life, than the next

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Because we all like to think of ourselves as special and "underground" so the second someone hits mainstream success it's no longer special to know them since everyone does

He doesn't know what the scene is because he was never really part of it other than his candy raver days in the 90's...

After those days, he locked himself in his basement for 10 years making music...

Not knocking that seeing as it worked out for him but he doesn't have to knock the scene since he was never a part of it..
