| the only reason I keep watching is because of the rave reviews I hear. Its not terrible so far, just really plodding and uninteresting (with a few cool highlights, like the bathtub falling through the floor). Just seems they’ve spent way too much time mainstreaming the show, by making walt (and to a lesser extent captain cook) a sympathetic character who has been driven to meth cooking to pay his medical bills. Reminds me of how they make dexter a likeable character by only having him kill bad people. Boring! Take a risk ffs. |

| As the show progresses, Walt as the "good guy" trying to "save his family" pretty much gets thrown the out the window. There is more death and plundering and shady deals to be had. |

I do think it's intentional that it's taking a while to really get going. They know what they're doing, and are building up to something worth waiting for.
I'm just not so into waiting. |

| The show is elegant poetry in motion. Never before have I seen such beautiful art in the form of a television show, but I come away from each episode more and more surprised and titillated by the brilliant work of each and every member of the show's cast and crew in each episode. Truly a weekly masterpiece. |
