| Cameron is making a statement in the next 10-15 mins. Heres hoping they just get the Army in and beat the lot of them down. There is Zero excuse for what they are doing. |

Didn't really say a lot.
6,000 Police on Londons streets last night, 16,000 will be on duty tonight as all police leave is cancelled.
Court processes will be sped up for law breakers.
To be fair though, the rate at which the riots are spreading I don't think 16k officers will be enough. |

| what's the story on the guy that was killed by the police? c0r-version please. |
|
|
| Jackson |
The guy was a suspect in a shooting of a man.
Armed Police go to arrest him while he's travelling in a Taxi.
Suspect shoots - misses.
Armed Police shoot - and hits.
Suspects family arranges a peaceful march from place of shooting to the police station.
March turns violent = Riots.
Thats pretty much it - but versions of the story do vary wildly. |

yep. birmingham traditionally follows. Heard wolves & leeds maybe have some too but a lot of london people i know are very worried. Hundreds of people around and it's escalating with twitter/fb using a lot. police not doing much at all from all accounts |
The only thing I've heard in Leeds is police dealing with "small pockets of unrest" in Chapeltown, which is about five miles out from the city. Everything seems very calm here - you wouldn't know anything was happening. |

| I would say, if you're caught looting, starting fires etc, you run the risk of being shot with LIVE rounds. Utter scum. |

| This is rediculáise. I say give them 3 hours to disperse, then go in with all the tear gas and rubber bullets in the world. I'm all for the right to protest and peaceful demonstrations, but when these things turn ugly it's better to go down on them with all the force you can to prevent loss of human life. |

| Is it wrong that I'm getting massive vibes from these riots? I've been listening to neurofunk all day. |
