he sure is a whiny one, isn't he?

well, next time he'll know better than to let a 15minute video of him playing with his hair instead of actually dj'ing to get recorded

lol. Maybe "explanation" should have been in quotes. Still, "crying like a little bitch" could be used to describe pretty much everyone.

"STEVE ANGELLO... HOW COULD YOU!?!?!?"

lol I like his fat guy sweatpants.

:haha: :haha: I see hearts and the Jesus pose too.... :haha:

This is really sad... and the guy gets paid how much to do this?? really?? I could do that and look so much better doing it!!! there should never be an excuse for a pre-mixed set or tracks EVER!!!!!

p.s the "track selection and mixing" still sucked!!!!

I understand his pyro set timing stuff, but come on like the fans are going to notice a few seconds off in timing?

Everyone was also complaining on how he was not using head phones at his solo EDC set, this just ads to that.

I wonder if he will still let people record him lol

And I feel bad for his handler Ben, going from one diva (Morillo) to the next lol the only break he got was working for Luke briefly...

i actually buy his reasoning for the pre-mixed fireworks display, as long as it's only like ten minutes and HAS to be that way in order for the visuals to sync up (i have no reason to not believe him, other than the fact that i know that several dj's control their own visuals with that DVJ1000 or whatever it is... maybe his are more complicated though)

but the combination of the apathetic attitude onstage combined with the whiny 'anti-hater' rants is somewhat off-putting. :(

I unfortunately caught his set at EDC Vegas and thought it sucked

his reasoning might make a tiny bit of sense if he wouldnt of been adamant a couple hours before that he would never do a prerecorded set. face it, this lame excuse is him just doing damage control and backpedaling.

he is exactly the kind of douchebag everything thinks and i would not put it past him one bit to actually prerecord an entire set.

i've only been to a few festivals...and i guess i haven't seen the final 15mins from behind the decks like that of those. but i've been up in the front cheering along as the DJ at least pretended to still be working. but i'm pretty sure they were still in fact mixing live and the pyrotechnics and lasers were still pretty spot on.

so honestly, that lousy excuse. and like Pat says, he's just back tracking trying to do damage control now that he realizes there is in fact a video of him twiddling his thumbs instead of mixing.

he went from:

"i would never do it"
to
"oh, i do it all of the time because everyone does it, it's the norm"

Ya know, Angello is not the first one to do this. He just happened to get caught with video evidence.

When I saw First State last month, he didnt even lift his headphones to his ear once during his entire set. They were merely an accssory to 'look' the part of a DJ, while he autosynched or played a mix on his laptop.

Its not so much the fake mixing that bothers me, as much as his unprofessional jerk attitude displayed in the video. He just looks like he doesnt care, no energy, and spilling drinks all over. Then acts like a diva jumping on the tables and doing the jesus pose.

Besides, never really cared for the same-old- pop songs ive been hearing them, and every newbie local DJ wanting to make it big, play the last two years anyways.

in my book, autosync (i.e., not having to beatmatch live) is miles away from playing a prerecorded set. beatmatching is not what makes a dj.

i agree with this 100%
