(I don't know how much producers make on music sales, but it sounds like it isn't a lot based on other TA comments.) |
and i still think they get paid too much. |

A lot of techno guys use laptops - Brian Sanhaji, Xhin, Dubfire, Chris Liebing, Speedy J, Richie Hawtin etc... |
Is Angello using a lap top? No.
You don't have a clue what we are even talking about or what he is doing.
Again you won't see this happening with good techno dj's. |

Top music producers and athletes provide many millions of people with countless hours of enjoyment by utilizing a skill set they have developed over many years. You may not like a particular producer or athlete, but he is getting paid a lot of money because the demand is great. Apparently, a lot of people like those highly paid producers/DJs and athletes and are willing to pay a lot of money to see them.
I think they are paid just right, although a case could be made they are not paid enough. |

Nope.
Just seeing if your opinion would change if presented with this counterargument... I guess not. :toothless |

i love it when people come into extremely hot topics and try the "who cares?" line.
obviously a lot of people care. otherwise there wouldn't be several topics on TA about it as well as all over facebook, twitter and other EDM forums. |

HAHAHA I just watched the video again, and all the pyrotechnics happen on his encore. Which starts around 9:40. He doesn't even press play to the last song. His encore is being played from somewhere else. He gets on the mic and says LET'S GO... than nothing happens, and says LET'S GO again. The lights dim, and the song starts. He was nowhere near the CDJ's when the song started! The mixed CD was on way before this!!! It's pretty obvious when he played Daft Punk.

Exactly.
And furthermore, I call utter bull on the pyrotechnics excuse.
I've worked live sound at many venues and I've never heard that excuse, I mean bands playing live somehow manage to play alongside choreographed pryro displays. Also, 10 years ago, one of my clients was the leading pryro consultants for most of the venues in London. He had even developed his own (now every common product) ignition device that would trigger up to 127 separate detonations, all via midi. It was so simple, even Steve himself *may* be able to master pushing buttons in sequence to the music his he's playing. I said *maybe* though. |
