ya, i know...i mentioned that before in a previous post...private parties thrown by friends that don't have cover charges, etc...

i'm having a party at my place before ricardo cuz i'd rather save my $ and energy for stereo.

ya i feel you. plus i don't feel like going for 12 hours straight, lol. see you at ricardo.

80$ on cover charge alone, damn. no drinks, no water, no drugs, nothing else is covered...it's an expensive night.

haha especially the bad quality and high price of these in general in Mtl don't help...

Also I have to agree, it's a lot for just cover charges. But you have to agree that RV is too unpredictable! I saw him plenty of times and love Stereo more than any other places (perfect combo)

but for the people going from outside Mtl like me and for a lot of people in general, it's a good bet to see this solid B2B in addition of RV with two djs who never disappoint (especially when they play B2B)

I dont think this event can be moved. its too late in the game
and this show is pretty complex in terms of setup length of time
and costs.

I dont think circus can cope with the pricetag to make it woork
on such a short notice...lets see.

its okay Montrealers. Just drive to Toronto on Saturday
and see Luciano vs Villalobos and sneak in a warehouse.

The toronto show is not affected by this :)

didn't wanna be the one to say it but ya...i'm pretty sure the show will be pulled completely...all this drama 48 hours before the event...eeessshhh...i bet the artists and their agents wouldn't like that...

besides circus tho, what other venues could work? i'm keeping in mind that someone mentioned earlier that new city gas isn't ready...

i can understand how frustrated you are :( it really sucks...at the same time tho, you can't compare selling out Angello & Skrillex to selling enough tickets for Craig & Luciano...so many differences, especially in demographics each artist appeals to and brings out, but, i know you know this, so we won't go there.

honestly, i think it's about your competitors and what they are offering that same night, and where they are offering it. i'm sure there's many other contributing factors, but i still think competition is the major one playing a roll in low ticket sales...

good luck marie, i hope you guys pull this one off.

Thanks, you're right, the comparaison is off for us, but not for the Metropolis headoffice. The competitors, house parties, 3 weeks after Black and Blue, so many factors. I'm still crossing my fingers for this event...will see at the end of the day.

I just blame low ticket sales on the price of the latter. I think 35-40$ max would have been more appealing for such a busy night/weekend. Plus the techno heads have had a chance to see Carl Craig for 15$ at Igloofest this past winter.
EZ Tickets
The biggest factor here is house parties / private parties / halloween in general

Lots of people spend a lot of money on costumes on top of it

Biggest night for costume parties is always the saturday

Luciano vs Carl attracts an older crowd aswell and some of these people are newly parents that have kids to take care of on that weekend for multiple reasons

It's a tricky weekend and there's good chances it'll simply be relocated, so that's good news
Enjoy

if it's moved to an afterhours, i want a refund

and you'll get one when it's confirmed

Sorry Mary, but if.you guys wouldn't cancel halff the events you Announce people would ing buy their tickets ahead of time.
As far as competition, you guys have the tendency to throw events when other people have announced stuff. So playing the victim doesn't really work that much.

You have nobody else to blame but your own selves.

Their events blow soo much it's not even funny. Back to back Halloween parties they're canceling. Last year was Carl Cox, now it's this event. When they booked Sasha @ Redlite it was a mockery for the dj ( THANK YOU STEREO FOR BOOKING HIM, much love ). This idea of selling tickets ahead of time, with a more-less hefty price tagg and cancelling all the time fails.
