the whole crew im rolling with is, I am as well. Doing something simple and then just throwing most of it somewhere and partying in my normal clothes from 4-5am onwards

So am I the only genius here that new right from the start that this booking couldn't fill 1/3 of Metropolis?

2 DJs, practically unknown to most kids, plying house music, with a non-existent visual set-up, playing a back to back regular traktor DJ set, for 30-50$.

When you can see a real show like Amon Tobin for 25$?

When Trentemoller barely got maybe a 1000 people on a saturday?

It was obvious.

DUDE but it's the people's fault for not buying their tickets ahead of time.

of the guy's wife's problem for not knowing anything

or the police fault

or the fireman's fault ...

Am I the only one starting to see a patern here ?

I'm sorry but it pisses me off... 2 guys that come here with a mixer that don't bring anything new or remotely impressive asking for huge amount of money... And they don't like it that there's only 1000 people....?

For fck sake's they play back to back, they don't even play at the same time!

I see my friend Erphun once a year and we do live improv on 4 decks, even with 2 mixers.

And people are surprised that this doesn't bring 2000 people in?

lmao

Bro, you don't even have visuals? What kind of show is this anyway?

:stongue:

Are you serious?

To me, the concept of having Luciano and Ricardo booked at different venues playing in the same city was a little ridiculous.

WittyHandle
I think his point was that the lack of visuals would impact sales, not as much a comment on the validity of the performance.

In non-club venues, visuals are an increasingly important factor. It's something that I personally think distracts from the music, but the trend cannot be ignored unfortunately.

Obviously you don't understand or never went to Metropolis.

This is not a club, it's a SHOW venue.

It's made for set-ups like Tobin, Plastikman, Justice, Modeskeletor and bands.

A DJ set on a table, even with a random VJ looks ridiculous there.

People don't go there and pay 10$ drink to stand there and look at a big empty room. Even less a DJ set from non-commercial DJs.
