Now who has significantly higher chances achieving what they want? You can't be that naive.

I think she means that it's a really pedestrian thing to base your life's direction on chance, alone. The few ty people I've unfortunately known have always been blamers - if not blaming other people for their misfortunes, then they just ascribe this and that to 'bad luck'. The fact of the matter is that ty things happen to everyone, and how we deal with them often defines how they turn out. I know that's obvious to the point of triteness, but the will to power is not at the mercy of the winds of fate. Or something grandiose like that.

Pretend like luck doesn't exist, and find a way to get what you want. Or just blame everything horrible on bad luck; the world needs plenty of losers!

True. You have to work toward your goals and not attribute failures to "bad luck". I think a more correct word would be "fortunate". Some people are more fortunate to be in a certain position and have certain things to achieve their goals more easily. There are those of course who do not take advantage of that and still waste their potential.

What is it, do you think, that separates those that get what they want from those that don't? Is it simply hard work and focus? Attitude? Charisma? A combination of all three? If all three, what do you think is the most important factor.

I really think it comes down to hard work and the right attitude, and I think that those who don't get what they want really just don't work hard enough - or maybe just aren't that serious about achieving their goals. I think many people believe they are doing enough to achieve their goals, but in reality probably aren't, and generally seem to have a bad attitude. I find that people who get what they want are very empowered, action oriented people who take responsibility for their choices and aspirations. That is, they don't just sit around and expect to happen just because they have high hopes or feel that the world owes them something.

What say you, C0R?

deception and ego gets you way farther in life than honesty and hard work.

i think he was referring to the people who get "lucky" because of the connections they have,

and how they receive way more than they deserve, while others who might deserve receive nothing in comparison.

This is absolutely true. For example trolling idiots who deserve a ban don't receive one because Sushi is the worst mod ever.

Farther in life - in a better position to put others in a lower position than you, so that you can get in an even better position.

It's when a woman is giving birth to a girl and right when the baby is coming she needs to fart, so that both the newborn girl and the fart leave her at the same time. I'm pretty sure that's exactly what Jenny will do.
