Just wanted to say that Poland signed ACTA. IF, in other countries, everything will be so skewed as in Poland then your goverment will sign it too.

ACTA is a legalization of corporations monopoly. These law proposals are so general, and at the same time, so powerful - I assume that it will totally change the internet. Actually, it will slow it down, make the innovation much slower. Startup businesses will have much bigger problems, especially those who want to create something based on "people uploading content" (ie. YouTube).

I can tell you that in Poland the last few days were a total distaster:
- about 90 % of people didnt want ACTA
- normally we have two biggest politycal parties and such people are constantly arguing about everything (can you believe that after 2 years, we still didnt receive the plane wreck from "Smolensk disaster" where 95 people died including polish president, some highest generals etc. and people still argue about the reasons of this crash). but here there was no arguing - everyone was against it
- people made demonstrations in every bigger city. some had about 10 000 people, which seem not that big, but I actually thing that this was something because 15-40 year old people finally turn off the computers and went on the streets.

The goverment in last few days were constantly lying.
1. They said that it won't affect our local law (which for example protects our personal data - so a corporation needs to ask police for our data and then via police make actions against people they suspect of doing illegal things). It a big f*** lie, because ACTA will be above it, will override any local law, and will give a corporation possibility to make a request for ISP to give their our personal data (which normally is NOT allowed, only police is able to request data from ISP and then, if a client/corporation wants to hunt people, police will help them) and then sue them, just because they thought you did download something or not. It horribly skewes the law, especially in Poland where court is very very very slow. A very simple cases (which probably in US takes days, weeks) usually take ... few years
2. They said that they made "social consultations". Yea, social. Day later people found the list - 99 % were just companies who benefit from ACTA so it was more like a corpo audience rather than social :) It's like asking some guy to found a mistakes in document which gives the guy 200 % bigger salary ;)
3. PrimeMinister facebook profile - just 5000 negative (which was 99 % of comments) were deleted in one day. of course they said it was a spam etc. There was no spam, I can assure you
4. Over 1000 websites were blackout to show that they disagree with acta - some big local ones
5. Media skewed the discussion so it was pretty much like : ACTA or 'hackers, pirates reality' etc.
6. goverment websites were being constantly hacked , ddos'ed in last few days. Prime Minister blog had a login / pass to admin panel: admin / admin1. It's funny because few months earlier at some political meeting the prime minister took his laptop, and the was a small note: "blue7" which was a password for his email or something like this. TV camera recorded this and people had some ... fun
7. Polish minister of "digitalisation" has no IT (or something similar) education. He just ended (im dont know exactly how to say it), "polish scholar degree", which means that he is a humanist and he simply dont have any idea about digital world.

Seriously, if such people decide then ... there should be just no goverment, and i'm not anarchist. It's just they dont represent people anymore. They are paid by big corporational lobby (i hate that world - they're making the law to benefit them - such actions should end up in long time jail).

All I can say it's just - do not trust goverment anymore. The whole country (ok, we're not the biggest one but almost 40 mln people mean something) was against them and yet they signed it. The last time people gathered together was in 1981 , when constant strikes, demonstrations took down the communism regime. and now here we go again - corporational regime.

All I know is that demonstrations without force, without pain don't mean anything. There is no democracy today. How a prime minister can sign something if 90 % of people is against of it ? It's all about big corporations wanting to have a monopoly. Monopoly for sueing , hunting down people without police, monopoly for creating goods (ie. generic drugs may dissapear).

it's just I don't understand the current world. If any country didnt sign it - prepare for massive dezinformation, prepare for politicians constantly lying, prepare for politicals sayins that those who oppose are pirates, hackers...

Welcome to the future, saw Idiocracy? I think the world will look sooner like that then it said in the movie.
