| hey there malice saw you at the end of AVB's set. The best seat in the house was of course the edge of the stage, could manage to get a bit of dancing space :D. BTW...was it the john 00 fleming rmx of cafe del mar that armin was spinning last night? |

review of tonight.. lets see..
first a big thank you to dj LKD,time2burn,infinity high n his friend peter, for bailing myself and my friends out in the time of need with the lineup.. it was a disaster, and really you guys have saved us hours and hours of waiting.. we appreciate it and thank you!
Party vibe, at first very sketchy.. lots of people, guvernment was unbearable, hot and packed with too many people pushing and shoving.. yet they kept ramming more in. We waited patiently and soon it became less and less congested with lots of room to dance.
meeting armin was nice again, nice guy. talked about his latest track airwave vs raising star - sunspot.
as well meeting tatgirl! welcome to toronto!
DJ ESO made an appearance.. i was speechless!
infected mushroom live performance.. was truly something that has to be experienced live. lots of energy and great tracks. too bad only 1 hour..
armin.. hohoho.. spun till 7:30 cheered him but was expecting communication which he said "yea i'll spin it now" to some guy
and i asked armin "spin till 8 or 9 if you can"
the management as usually shut him down.
i was on the verge of tears as he walked away from the decks and down the steps with his mother and father.
but that didn't stop me.. i made my way to the kool hause to enjoy the sounds of deep dish till 9 am.. party turned out to be great, even thou i hate the guvernment and the bull they pull sometimes.

ok....so as i was sayin.......it was in packed and in annoying...however..there was a lot of place to dance in spots people wouldnt have thought of...example:touching the stage at guv....
yes..thats where i was and yes it was hot there too and quite sufocating..however...i had room to dance and that was all that mattered to me when THE SHROOMS were on...
k...so ...i got an autograph from Erez and Duvdev from IM and i had a few words Erez....:D :D :D
then later on...thanks to Tatgirl again(for pen and this time a little request)i got an autograph from Mr. Buuren :D :D :D
it was really exciting to be one on one with both these artists at points in their sets....
While IM were on, Erez looked at me and i signaled that they were in crazy and he had a little burst of laughter...
as for Armin, he saw me standing stationary at one point and then he signaled me to dance...with his hands together kinda beggin me to..lol
to which i signalled back "  and then he hammers his hand in the air, questining me if i wanted it harder and i put my thumb up and he then spins some harder tunes :D :D :D :D

well I will never go to a summer end party at the guv ever again
The majority of the reviews summed up what type of hell we all went through but I have some things to add which I have not read in the other threads.
When I got there at 11 I first waited in the love parade for 1.5 hours before I got in.....[ I know many people were just walking right in and ya it pissed me off but I wouldhave done the same thing if I could so whatever.......
next the dreadfull 1 to 2 people being let in to the orange room and eventually the Guv.....
ing bouncer was a retard....it got to the point as someone else said that we were like sardines and Buddy sorry to hear what happened to your girlfriend with her suffocating...
So it got to the point where the bouncer was brave enough to come right to me when I told him [ I didnt pay to be here I paid to be in there ] and he said " I dont give a " and wanted to have me tossed out of the club because the whole entire growd decided to push me right into him through the railing...
Luckily one of the 10 bouncers that came to control the growd was a friend of mine and he let us pass [ 3 of us ]
Still this is ing unbelievable?????? " you have to go back outside and wait again to get into the GUV" Ya you!!!!!!!!!!!
The Guv Staff Excluding my Friend are all ed up!!!! Fire Code and the fact that no one cares about how they should run the business so it is a pleasurable experience to their clients....
Finally go to the patio at the guv at like 1:30 and needed to rest cause my leg that I had surgery on a month ago was sore already from all the standing...
Now actually something positive: In my opinion I had the best spot in the club: Right by the patio door so the air wasnt so bad and off to the side where the railing was so I could see the stage really well: Spent the whole time there but jetted at 5:30 after he played Riva - Time is a Healer
From what I hear that was a mistake cause he dropped some sick tunes and I regret leaving, especially since it looked like it was kinda clearing up at 5am and was relativelly bareable...
Didnt enjoy much of Armins set, I think I enjoyed watching infected Mushroom more just cause it was live PA.
I know if I stayed longer I would have loved some of those tracks
Anyhow last but not least Hans Solo you made it Drunk like a skunk but having a great time and that is all that matters.
Was very excited when I finally saw you there dancing like you had Energizer batteries stuck up your Ass [ hehe ]
Never ever going to a summer end I dont care who is spinning and I am not sure if I will ever go to a special event saturday....will have to wait till the 12th of Oct to see.......... |

Armin did a better job in montreal I think but what do I know because as Pepi said I was drunk as a skunk. Had a good time but the body mind and soul was dead at 6:30 and armin was still spinning aat 7:30 when I was outside. Thats when I heard Medusa v Exor moonshine and said , its still good inside, but not, because what good is trance if you cant dance. just kidding.
Pepi nice to see you, I think I saw endless wave as well.
Ferry in october for the epic good stuff.

My Labour of Love Review:
Found a free spot in a parking lot across from Loblaws (you had to drive through a rubber gate thing).
Walk up to guvernment, see huge lineup. Hear man yelling "anybody selling tickets?". Realized that I really shouldn't go to this, considering I have to move today. Sold my ticket to the nice man, went home, and got a good nights sleep.
Yeah I sold out, but at least I'm well rested. :rolleyes: |

first of all thanks for the nice words TranceArmada we really felt reallybad for you and were worried throughout the nite. that "Friend" of yours we should Jump for what he did. That just was not cool. Your word is your bond. Next time do what Dj-Hordash and Mecha did, ask me to get the tickets for you. I am %100 reliable :D. Thank you for the lift man. So sorry u had to go through all that bul.
As far as guv goes, I am not going back there for a long time. This was sickening to watch the masses of ppl being crushed and pushed only goes some stupid ass for brains bouncers don;t let you go through to the otehr rooms. I aited over 30 mins in linup with cutting in. Iwas glad rtehy did not hassle me for my digital camera at the door. But after that u go into koolhouse.. PACKED! Then u wanna got ot he next room? forget it. u have to waitt here ANOTHER half hour that is when I refound mecha who picked up Hordash out of nowhere! So. We had to ing push and crush our way to the orange room I have no clue why they would not let us in!!!! tey let ehm in one by one. ing why?????? My ticket said access to all eareas. Obviously that was falsley advertised. I am gonna call guv and ask for my money back:whip: :whip: :whip: That was total and utter bull. NExt big event that happens with tix, I am gonna buy 10 and sell them to TAs for 35-40 bucks outside and not ing 70 bucks liek they did ing bull.
After aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall trhe bullshti which is a lot I saw infected mushroom took a few picks of them. I am not too impressed by them tho. not my style that's all. But for those that do enjoy them I am sure u had a great time:D. and this is the highlite of my nite. Mecha, DJ-Hordash and I saw DJ ESO on the stairs to the stage. Then, out of nowhere I hear mecha Yelling "It's AVB!" I tunr around and Armin is standing right in front of me smling at me saying hello and shaking my hand. Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahk!!! He was super nice. First Fleming and now this!
I told him I was starting t spin records just a week ago and he told me to keep practising so some day Imight be on a stage too (If I rtrecall correctly). Mecha, Hordash and I flipped out after we met him. He shook our hand again and left to setup his set.
He spun an AMAZING SET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don;t know the titles of the songs he plays but I had a great time watching him perform. I couldnot dance tho cause it was too packed. All in all it was good. I hate the crowding, won;t go back there for a while.
It was nice meeting allyou TAs there, Mecha, Hordash, DJ Eso, DJ EL Kay Dee, Mavspire, TranceXtasy, Wurm maverick and all the others I missed. Hope to see u guys soon. |
