That's where I was most of the time

By some miracle, I managed to have a good time at this party, all things considered. We got in rather quickly, but only cuz my friends had the balls to cut in line right at the front. Otherwise, we wouldn've stood there for 2 hrs, easily. Ran into High Spirit & we made it into the jungle room, apparently just in time. We tried to advance to the Guv, but the line was retarded, so we tried to head back to the Kool Haus, & we noticed they had barricaded the entrance, & no one was being let into the orange room. We were 'trapped in junglist hell' so, we decided to get back in the herd trying to pass to the Guv side. The Guv was packed, and we made it to the acid lounge, where it was nice & cool, found a place to sit, & then proceeded to meet several TA's. Enjoyed the tail end of BBB's set, & listened to IM's set from there as well. I really wanted to go see them perform, & i tried to make it out there b4 their set was done, but they stopped after 50 min's, instead of 60. Anyways- got their autograph on my cd, & then headed out to the patio for fresh air & conversations, and more TA's. I went back inside for the last hour & 40 min's of AVB's set- surprisingly, there was room in front of the stage to dance, & I ran into more TA's there. Armin signed my Transparence 004 cd in a really cute way- I'll have to scan it & post it. It was really cool of Armin to come down & dance with the crowd at the end. Armin was only schduled to play for 3 hrs, & he gave us an extra hour, which was really nice of him, considering how hot & tired he was. Saw some moron at the edge of his stage offer cocaine to him, which he turned down. Loser.... Then headed to the Kool Haus for the tail end of Deep Dish.
What made my night was meeting all the TA's- this was the most I'd ever met at a local event, and that was the best part of the evening for me. I tried to take group pictures when ever I could. I never made dancing a priority at this event, but had I, I'm sure things would've been completely horrible, with the heat & crowds.
Shout out's to Time2Burn, High Spirit, Arek, Malice, Maverick, DJ El Kay Dee, Heatscore, Mecha, Cyrus King, Stereo Princess (yay! a female TA!), Arctic Boy (good to see u in town visiting), and everyone else I'm missing (I'm a little burnt out still). If you're one of those 'missing names', drop me a PM & let me know your screen name again. Sorry- I'm tired, & my memory ain't what it used to be.
dEsidEl, if I were you, I'd call Guv's office and tell them what happened to your GF. Threaten a lawsuit or something- no one needs to die first in order to sue, u know? That club totally is paying off some official(s) to be able to get away with that crap. If anyone here has any friends/ family members that are politicians, fire marshalls, lawyers, etc... talk to them- they should not get away with this crap. Also, I think contacting Benson & Hedges (since their name is plastered all over these events) & letting them know of this near-death experience, would be a wise thing. Hell- just write letters to newspapers (Now, Eye, Toronto Star) about the overcrowding there- REALLY make it public knowledge. Had I seen any fire alarms, I was gonna pull them, 1 by 1.

Pretty well everything good and bad has already been said about this party so I'll spare the details.

Negatives
- lineups outside were horrible
- lineups inside were even worse
- overcrowding was disgusting

Positives
- the 30 mins of Danny Howells set I heard
- chilling on the patio listening to Adam Freeland
- Infected Mushrooms live PA from what I remember
- Armin's amazing trance set
- some crazy candy that caused my memory loss

Overall I had a great time. All the negatives were expected so it didn't really kill my vibe. Armin really blew me away with another set that pulled me through the night. I already can't wait till November. Special thanks to a little someone that gave me a shoulder to lean on and some wicked friends that made it another unforgetable night. Lates...

Bro, I saw you a couple of times in there... black shirt with the volume bar? Where did you get that, by the way?

If I knew that was you, I would've come up and said something... either way, cool shirt!

Well as some of you know I am not only a Trance Addict but a House Junkie as well, I mainly attended this party for my favorite DJ Danny Howells, but also got to check out one of my favorite Trance DJ as well with Armin. So Ill start from the begining.

Line up was around the other side of the complex when I arrived at 11:00pm. YA RIGHT! I hopped in line about 5 meters from the bouncer and was in the Kool Haus with in 15 mins.
We got there and Luke Fair as always was setting a nice progressive mood.
Then came on my man Howells..... all I have to say was I was dissapointed in him Sunday. He usually tears it up, with his unique style of upbeat progressive house sound. I found his set to be a little boring with no familiar tunes or ones that stood out in my head. He of course had the crowd jumping as he is very crowd friendly, and even recognized me up front from meeting him last time. I didnt get a chance to say hi this night but my gf was talking to him.

Then I ventured over to Armins domain. No real problems getting to the GUV. It was once I was in there! Holy ! I was allready drenched in sweat from dancing my ass off in the Kool Haus, but I hardly moved at all in the GUv and was still sweating my ass off. I was impressed with how crowd friendly Armin was as well, I
think it makes a differance in how well a DJ can make a connection with the crowd and he did impress me. Also loved how he dropped a couple classics in Cafe Del MAr and For an Angel. Back to Cali was also a highlight.

After Armin went back to check on Deep Dish who was the best house represntation that night, but was dissapointed at the end of the night when you could tell they just wanted people out of there. It was littlerally static with steady bass lines... horrible, not even songs, and as I looked around, people were still dancing to it???

Anyways Im sorry to hear that some of you had a bad one, The Kool Haus was packed but not unbarable, and there was room to dance...
See ya at Dave Seaman.

Contrary to popular believe I did show!! Honest!!

I ran into Trancexasty, Blissn'Trance (and bro) and a few others.

Most of my night was spent in the GUV where I caught Bad Boy Bill (not bad set at all), Infected Mushroom (first time hearing them, not that bad either) and of course AVB til about 6:30. Then had to leave cause my friend's GF was tired...:whip: We TOLD her it would be a long night!

I was holed up just to the left of the stage up on the platform, so I was literally 20-25 feet from everyone (including AVB!!).
Was a pretty good spot cause the door was right there and I could get a good breeze from the stuffy and overcrowded mosh pit below.

I'm sorry I didn't get to see anyone else... :(

Overall I think my subconscious was nagging me for most of the night wondering why the hell I just paid $50 to be a sardine?
$20 bucks...ok...I could live with that, but $50??!!?? :eyespop:

I won't be spending that much again for that.
exergo
i just couldn't take the packed venue, messed up crowd etc...so i only caught about an hour of armins sets and seems i missed my favorite tracks...at 5ish i left for the skybar and danced to wicked breaks as the sun rose, where it wasnt 50 degrees and wasnt filled with g'd out sketchy gino's and 40 tear old asian e-tards

i am mad, i dunno how armin digs that place..everyone in the guv was male, ugly sweaty, and messed up large......only 1/10th of the people actually know whats up....

i should have done 5 pills and gotten too mashed not to notice

but wicked set..alot harder then i thought it would have been...
and i missed soo many good tracks...cafe del mar was nice though

as if i missed seven cities and cloudwalking..again
